Whatever happened to teenage kids mowing the lawns on weekends for spending money?

They are still there but the businesses the hire illegals complain that the kids are stealing their business and have no business license, workers compensation insurance, etc.

We made welfare so generous that their mothers have passed on the entitlement attitude that “we don’t work.”

I live three blocks from a subsidized housing complex - all single mothers with gaggles of kids, many in their teens. Not a ONE came to my neighborhood to take advantage of an earning opportunity.
