America isn’t ready for another war — because it doesn’t have the troops

He cries about the money spent, and that it should be cut by at least half.

As most of that budget goes to things like pay, housing and taking care of dependents, that is what it would mean. The next biggest chunk actually goes to training. Not that they are training much at the moment, as they are still under almost two decade old budget restrictions.

I read it, and it was the typical political nonsense, much like yours. Now care to actually discuss what that would actually mean to those in uniform? Or are you as always going to go into political coprolite once again and avoid actual discussions?
Apparently you fail to comprehend.

We don’t need all this manpower in the military. So if they aren’t members of the military, there is no need to pay them.

Do you somehow think the current level of personnel in the military is sacrosanct?

We don’t need all this manpower in the military.

Uh-huh.

Are you even aware that 1/3 of the DoD are actually civilians?

Maybe we need to cut them out.

Still yet more political babble, with nothing to justify anything you say.

Are you aware of the recent history of US Empire warmongering? You seem unaware.

Has it ever occurred to you there are dangers in large standing armies? The Founders warn of this and we’re witnessing those dangers occur first hand. $35 trillion in debt, nonstop wars causing massive death and destruction, tyranny at home, poverty increasing…history tells us warlike empires don’t last long.

You seem to think since we have a large military now, we have to keep supporting it. If we do, our fate is sealed.

Are you aware of the recent history of US Empire warmongering? You seem unaware.

And once again, you simply blather on about your own political beliefs, and are completely unable to actually discuss the issue itself.

Thank you for playing.

You need to open your mind. Your thinking too narrowly.

My mind is open. However, I also have no tolerance for bullcrap political nonsense.

Politics are like diapers. They all stink and are full of crap.
Politics? The nonstop wars…the massive war budgets…the enormous death and destruction…it’s all just politics. :uhoh3:

the massive war budgets

Russia spends almost twice the GDP on their military than the US does, care to talk about that?

Russia has a military almost 50% larger than the US, care to talk about that?

Russia has a military size per capita many times larger than that of the US, care to talk about that?

As I said, it is all politics. As always, you are trying to push a political agenda by ignoring facts and pushing propaganda. Which is why I said you do not want to talk about reality, you want to push politics.

Last chance, care to talk facts, or are you still only going to push politics?

And chew on this a bit, as you are so obsessed about a bloated military. In the US, there are 6 people in the military out of ever 1,000 people. In Russia, there are 27 people in the military for every 1,000 people.

And non-stop wars, once again you are talking about Russia there.

Lol. Please compare Russia’s war budget to ours in dollars. What do you see?

Compare them before this provoked war in Ukraine. What do you see?

You are so ignorant you’re blind to the truth.

What did the Founders say about war and large standing armies? Does this mean anything to you?

Mushroom, as so often, is wrong.

Here’s a comparison of the size and cost of the Russian and US armed forces:

Size

United States:

Russia:

Cost

United States:

Russia:

The US has a significantly larger defense budget, reflecting its extensive global military presence and advanced technology investments. Russia, while having a smaller budget, maintains a large number of tanks and reserve personnel, emphasizing its ground combat capabilities.

Drones are the weapon of choice for fighting wars today. Boots on the frontlines aren't needed like before.

Lol. Please compare Russia’s war budget to ours in dollars. What do you see?

You mean that the US spends 3.4% of their GDP on the military (and falling)?

Meanwhile, Russia spends 6.1% of their GDP on their military (and rising)?

It is not the amount that matters, it is the amount of GDP.

But have a nice day.

Who is going to encourage their sons and daughters to sing up to fight in Biden/Harris' wars?

WHO?

If Lamaka wins, step one is: retire early, leave the military, do not sign up. Why would we? Why would ANYone?
Bitter old sue.

YOU never signed up in the first place.

Lol. Do you understand percentages? Apparently not.

If Mushy Head spends 10% of $100 or 5% of a million dollars, which is greater?

Right, most women don't. Especially women who weigh less than the military equipment.

What's your excuse though?

Russia is falling and spending too much of GDP on a failed military.
