Yes, more takeover of the government by unelected black robes.

This is the fault of Chief Justice Roberts for being far too temperate with lower courts.

I'll take "State Controlled Welfare" for $200 Alex.

The government can supress any assistance it see's fit not to give states, but it cannot tell states what they can and cannot put on the lists of the welfare/SNAP cards.

I'm sure some states are going to cut out the crap and replace it with the original list of basics you can get, while other states will just keep letting people buy crap and toxic garbage with the benefits cards.

Our state attorney general Kris Mayes is one of the ones that signed onto that lawsuit. She signs up for any and all lawsuits against President Trump. She is a disgrace to our state. I am not alone in hoping she loses her bid for reelection this November.

Why not start a petition to have her fired and investigated then?

Yeah, I've tried too. People too gawddamned lazy to even sign a petition!!!!
I live in the hinterlands, second left after the road to nowhere. Nobody out here, nearest town has less than 2k people. Everybody lives in Maricopa, coconino or pinal counties. They love her there. Here in Apache county, not so much.

This legitimizes permanent ghettos. A comfort zone is created with an economy within an economy even if living with violence is accepted.

I've tried to tell people this from the start. It is illegal. Not only because it doesn't save one dime. Not only because soft drinks and candy are food. Not only because there is no legal nor medical basis to tell others against their will how they can or cannot eat just because they need some SNAP program to get by, but because once the government established that power, the next step would be to tell everyone how and what to eat.

#4 of total government control:
  1. Control their healthcare.
  2. Control their banks.
  3. Control their travel.
  4. Control what they eat and drink.

I could care less, but I don't. I simply do not give a shit if poor kids get to have a soft drink or a candy bar on their EBT card.
Back when I was a 17 year old kid working minimum wage for Liberty supermarket, several on welfare would bring their food stamps when they came out, load up on multiple hams, turkeys and other very expensive foods, literally hundreds of bucks at a time. Noticing they paid with food stamps, but gave me big tips in cash for carting it out to their car, I asked my boss what gives. He said it happened every time the food stamps came out, and what they were doing was selling it in the bottom for maybe 25 cents on the dollar to get money for beer (which could not be bought on food stamps) or exchanging for dope in the bottoms. I loaded out a lot of high end meats and delicacies (very few potatoes, rice, beans or other vegetables) into very nice fairly new large cars, while collect good tips in cash and coin. I truly do not care about candy and soft drinks. Get a life!

So, who are you backing?

Peterson or Glassman?

Glassman was actually a practicing attorney.

But he's not in tight with the GOP clique.

It's called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for a reason, it's not the Supplemental Junk Food Assistance Program. The judge will be B-slapped on appeal.

This UPI story says:

"In March, five SNAP recipients in Colorado, Iowa, West Virginia, Tennessee and Nebraska sued the Trump administration over its approval of waivers, saying the restrictions were vague, complicated and counterintuitive, causing significant confusion for both them and retailers, while harming SNAP recipients who rely on sugary beverages to manage chronic health conditions, such as diabetes."

WTF???

Can sugary beverages manage chronic health conditions, such as diabetes?

"AI Overview"

"No, sugary beverages cannot manage chronic health conditions like diabetes. In fact, medical and health organizations strongly advise against consuming them, as they are a leading dietary factor that drives the development and worsening of chronic metabolic diseases. [1, 2, 3, 4]"

If a diabetics blood sugar drops too low it can be addressed with orange juice or grape juice. I doubt those are restricted. I opened a bottle of orange juice in the grocery store because my blood sugar was low, of course I paid for it when I checked out.

And yet you all attacked Michelle Obama for the same thing.
No, she was attacked for "Mystery Mush" while her kids were eating high on the hog at a private school in DC.
