According to these guys the US attacke Japan in ww2

Navy commander means military, if you knew anything about WW 2 history, you would know that FDR had USN ships escorting BRITISH convoys halfway across the Atlantic to the so-called MOMP (M Id O cean M eeting P oint. He had issued a “ shoot on sight” order for American warships to attack any German ships. The “British” PBY Catalina that spotted Bismarck was being flown by a USN pilot who was “advising” the RAF Coastal Command crew.
No shit!!! I knew that for a long long time. My mistake since it was just my recall that Al was hunting Nazi subs in 1941 however it was in 1942.

Apparently, you are confused since you don't know about the Nazis subs seen by Americans sinking ships off the Atlantic coast of the USA. Correction it was in 1942 and not in 1941. Al died so I can't ask him the story now.
In other words you don't really remember what he told you or if you are just confused. Your biggest mistake is in not understanding that I am trying to help you. If you made a mistake don't you want to know?

Al died in 2019 so he can't correct me.

That is a clichè that is out of place here. I am trying to help you but you don't realize it so I think I'll just let you believe what you want to believe. I'm out.
So, after all the hounding, you were not trying to help me at all!!

And that was only after several attacks on US Navy ships by Germany.

First was the USS Niblack incident I described earlier where a German sub attacked a US Destroyer rescuing sailors from a Dutch freighter they had sunk.

Then the attack on the USS Greer.

It was only after those two incidents that the President made that order.

And it was not like Germany did not already have a history of attacking neutral ships and shipping.

Do you know what "tempus" means?
