Zone1 A Great Authority Given Unto the Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ

Mountains are just metaphors for people, big shots, who loomed over the human landscape like immovable mountains. When Ezekiel was told to prophesize to "the mountains of Israel" about their future destruction he went and spoke to people. He didn't start talking to rock formations.

In my life I have seen mountains crumble, stars fall from the sky, after a few words were spoken.
Got it. The Bible is 100% true, except for the parts that you don't like or are blatantly batshit crazy. You call those parts metaphors.

No prophets are necessary after Jesus Christ. None. Certainly not a philanderer and cheat.
Show where in the Bible it teaches you this false doctrine. The apostles of Jesus continued after Christ's death and resurrection and they are prophets. Let me point out a verse to you from the Bible that shows that apostles and prophets would continue:

Ephesians 4:11-15
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Here Paul teaches the Ephesians that Christ set up his church with apostles and prophets for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. This was to be so until we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Have we reached that point? NO!! We still need these offices in the church until we reach that point!! Paul is telling us that we should have prophets and apostles in the church until come unto the perfect man in Christ and to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ! We have not reached that point and should have apostles and prophets who receive continuing revelation until we have. You are a victim of being tossed to and fro, and carried about with this false wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. It is a false doctrine that there should be no prophets as Paul so clearly teaches to the Ephesians. Paul was teaching this after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The bible also says
Matthew 17:20
“Because you have so little faith,” He answered. “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

You would think there would be at least a few reports of mountains being moved, But I haven't found any. Do you think that might have been just made-up shit, and nobody really has the power to order a mountain to move?
You ever been to West Virginia? They'll blow the whole cap off that sucker in 1/2 a second.

Where in the Bible is the special underwear and handshake mentioned?
It's not recorded in the Bible. The Bible isn't the sum of all revelation from God. Those who believe that revelation from God has ceased are followers of a false doctrine. God is a revelator and continues to reveal his will to his apostles and prophets.

If you knew anything about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints you would know that Joseph was not married to these women for time but only for eternity. In other words, while on this earth these women would remain the wives of their husbands but because their husbands did not believe in eternal marriage nor in the church, when dead, their marital contract with their wives would end. However, because they were sealed to Joseph Smith, they will be his wives in eternity. This allows these faithful women to progress in the eternities due to their faith while their mortal husbands refused such a marriage and won't be allowed to hold their faithful wives back for all eternity.

I never claimed that its 100% true. I pointed out that some bat shit crazy parts are just metaphors

Is that so hard to accept? Damn, the first story even has a talking serpent, an obvious metaphor for a human archetype, a con man, who "beguiles" BRAINWASHES the gullible possessing their minds, their soul, controlling their lives like any two bit cult leader. There is a plague of "talking serpents" running amok world wide right now, beguiling the gullible right in front of your nose.

Every bizarre fairy tale that sounds batshit crazy conveys truth, hard learned lessons of the past. People do not give a child a shit sandwich when they ask for something good to eat. When young children inquire about the world parents don't tell them fairy tales to poison or **** up their minds

anthropomorphism has been a gentle way to teach children about reality for thousands of years

Am I telling you something you don't already know? Legions of people have lost their mind for life to despicable narcissistic 'religious' cult leader over the years. True? Look at Trumps poisonous diatribe and its effect on many people who apparently never understood the warning in Genesis.
Decent God fearing Jesus loving religious people openly paying homage to a real talking serpent.

Unbelievable! Right? But this ain't no fairy tale.

Its time to pay the Piper.

So where do you draw the line between miraculous and made up?

Nope.
"Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets, and now in these FINAL DAYS, he has spoken to us through his Son." Hebrews 1:1-2.

You've been lied to. Scripture is the final authority.

Hebrews 1:1-2 does not state that God discontinued revealing his will through his servants the prophets. Verse 2 only states that God spoke to us through his Son, which was true that while Jesus was on the earth he spoke directly to his disciples. However, after Jesus died and was resurrected, he spoke through his apostles such as Paul who gave that very epistle to the Hebrews. Later John the Revelator and Apostle, while on the Isle of Patmos received the revelation known as the Book of Revelation around 94-95 A.D. Obviously you believe in those revelations since you are so quick to use them as references. Paul, whom you quote from Hebrews also taught to the Ephesians that we would always have apostles and prophet up until we come to the unity of the faith unto a perfect man unto the fulness of the stature of Jesus Christ himself (see Ephesians 4:11-15 above). So no Bible evidence there, try again.

The Scripture says "FINAL DAYS". I highlighted that and you still ignored it.

Like I said before, the Bible is not the sum of all of God's revelations.. However, if you have read the verses I've posted previously, ie

Matthew 16:18-19
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 18:18
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Tells us that WHATSOEVER Peter was to bind on earth would be bound in heaven. This includes marriage. Joseph Smith was give this same power and authority and was able to seal marriages while on this earth for time and all eternity. This power and authority continues with all the living heads of the church and is had by Russell M. Nelson today.

How convenient. With that claim, you can simply make it up as you go along. There is no authority, no standard, and Scripture can be added to say whatever you want. Good luck with that.

Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Yes this verse tells us that in times past God spoke through prophets. Yes, this verse tells us that in these last days he has spoken unto us by his Son. But it does not say anything about never speaking again to us through prophets. These last days or final days that you refer to are the last half of this earth's mortal time. Yes, Jesus has spoken unto us and will yet speak unto us in these last days. But there is nothing about his never speaking to us again through prophets and apostles. You really need to study Ephesians 4:11-15 which was also taught by Paul just as Hebrews 1:1-2 was. Paul teaches that we are to always have apostles and prophets until we come unto the perfect man, unto the fulness of the stature of Christ. We are not there yet. Apostles and prophets are still needed till we all come to the unity of the faith.
