The church will have been removed from the wrath of God prior to Jesus returning. That rapture event, will bring about people who will accept Christ. They will be open game. They are the ones referred to as under the altar in Heaven, calling for vengeance. By the time Christ returns, most believers will have been exterminated/martyred and will be returning with Christ to settle the score with Lucifer.
