$15.00 an hour? For WHAT????!!!

When people start going back to Manhattan you can get a great job for $15.00/hour in a Blue City…along with social assistance.
And in the rural areas you get to stay at a MW job which barely covers your opioid addiction.

And, as noted, nothing you said addresses the actual question.

Without employees it doesn't matter what the owners do and we've reached a point where the employees can walk away from crap jobs at crap pay because there are better opportunities down the road.

It's called supply and demand. core of capitalism. Kinda sucks to be on the down side of the curve don't it?

Yes that is the way it is now, but it won't last forever. Under normal circumstances the employee needs the employer more than the other way around. That's why the potential employer interviews you.

And when it stabilizes where the workers need the work but have a record of quitting jobs every two months is very unimpressive to potential employers in the future.

Under normal circumstances the employee needs the employer more than the other way around.

Over the last century plus some years as the cost of labor goes up, employers have turned to automating jobs out of existence in large and ever-growing numbers. And every time the minimum wage is raised, the incentive to automate more jobs grows. And since the small business people don't have the resources to do that, they go out of business cuz it just ain't worth it to keep the business going. And in some places, it ain't safe either.

That, actually is never the case.

Just ask a former employee at Computer Associates.

The employee can go elsewhere. A crap employer with crap jobs and crap pay NEEDS a high unemployment rate to survive. The labor pool is the only place the employer can go. People can find other jobs, start a business.

Businesses spent the last 50 years destroying the earnings of employees. Now that the worm has turned it's good to see them feel the pain.

You realize it's a symbiotic relationship, right? Employers need employees but employees also need employers. It's kind of a catch-22, employees can walk away if/when they find a better paying job, and employers can offer a job at a specific wage. Each has a choice, but the democrats only focus on the employees and ignore the other side of the equation.
Symbiotic?

That's not the way employers have been treating it for the last 50 years.

TAKERS AND MAKERS
Remember that?

PAYBACK IS...remember that one too.

$15 per hour is for kids only. That's not a wage an adult lives on. That's simply the way it is.

Automation is coming no matter what labor costs. The thing is this nation has no labor shortage and has never had a better work for e.

Well the small businesses will have to adapt. I'm not in control. So are you saying we need a good sized population of lower wage workers?

Slum money in NYC and Nassau County.
And?
she was 19 and living in Florida.

Not everyone lives in NYC.

Over the years I've learned you can judge the unemployment rates by the quality of service at fast food restaurants. The better the economy the worse the service. Over the last year service in these places has gotten as bad as I've ever seen it. The reason , of course, is clear. You get what you pay for. Lousy pay and conditions produces lousy employees. Lots of places are closed now because they haven't learned that lesson.

HEY! Maybe we can elect another GOP president to destroy the economy the way the last 2 did?

Productivity is linked to pay no doubt. The more the $ the harder one works. The less $ the less hard one works. Capitalism 101.

How did Trump destroy the economy?
O! COVID, which destroyed the economy of almost every nation on earth!
Trump must be a very influential person to destroy the entire planet!

Automation is an investment when other ways become more expensive. Of course labor costs play a huge part as labor is a businesses largest expense.

Same way Bush did.
By making believe the problem didn't exist until it was too late.

So who's next on the GOP list to destroy the economy?
