$15.00 an hour? For WHAT????!!!

You guys used the same tactics on smoking
Smoke and Mirrors

I hope you inadvertently started people moving to the realization that the "Virus is contagious" hoax was previewed by the "Smoking causes cancer" hoax.

Genes cause cancer; smoking only locates it. Non-smokers with the gene will get cancer; smokers without the gene will not. The cronyvirus is also an immune-deficiency problem, not a contagion.

The first move by the ruling control-freaks was also motivated by the fact that they fear the Marlboro Man and all other masculine images.

Saying That Businessmen Create Jobs Is Like Saying That Vampires Create Blood

That sucks. Owners aren't earners. They have no ability to determine what wages should be and what their own take should be. By "take," I also mean their interpretation of what their own contribution is worth. Their side of the story is not a narrative; it's a soliloquy

Another one ignorant of how businesses work. The company never loses a dime. They pass on their losses to us, the little guy. When they start to lose money, that's when they close down.
And another one who hasn't the foggiest how the economy works.

Try operating without employees. THAT's when you shut down.
Raise prices? Only if the competition allows. Otherwise you lose customers, can't afford to pay your employees and THAT's when you shut down.
Raise wages? Hire the best employees, who make the business better which brings in more customers, allows for perceived extra value on higher prices and more profit.

AND company never loses a dime? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
How about those companies shut down because they can't hire but still on the hook for taxes, utilities, and other costs? How's that greed working out for them?

What did I tell you?

Same rhetoric and misinformation they now use to deny climate change

Again, these people are getting paid by their governments. If not for governments, who would they work for?

What empirical evidence do you speak of? Let's hear it.

Why does EVERY Government on earth want there to be Climate Change?

Your arguments are getting more and more silly

Who said they did? They could care less about climate change. All they care about is power.

If you control energy and healthcare, you have the power to totally control people because nearly every aspect of our life has to do with one or both.

In our system of governance, they can't just take control of these things. The only way for them to be able to take total control is if we beg them to. So they make regulations and get involved in our healthcare as to increase the price making it unaffordable for many people. They will get us to beg them to take our control of energy by scaring people the oceans are going to swallow us up and other natural disasters will finish the job.

The problem there is many Americans look at our politicians as people FOS. So they run to their scientists on the payroll and tell them to pass their message along. After all, they are scientists, we can trust them, right? :eusa_shhh: So the scientists report on places that are warmer but don't tell us about places that are cooler than normal. They tell us what their global models say but don't tell us they're wrong over 90% of the time. In the meantime Kerry, Gore, Obama all travel private jets and drive SUV's, and buying property on the ocean laughing their asses off at people like you who bought their bullshit. They buy homes that three families could comfortably live in

You just supported what I said. When companies start to lose money they do shutdown. When companies are making money and get hit with higher or new costs they pass that to the consumers. All their competitors have to do the same so there is no worry about them pricing themselves out of the market unless China is a concern.

Larger companies depend on investors because that's free money they don't have to borrow from the bank. They can use that money to expand or invest in their current production. The only way to keep investors happy is to keep the stock price up, so they can't afford to use profits to offset new costs. Their investors will put their money somewhere else.

But not all companies recoup alike. Some cut benefits to their employees or skip annual raises. Some layoff non essential workers and make their current workers work OT if they can. They outsource or invest in automation to replace human labor. But one way or another, they're not going to lose a dime.

Why is this so hard to understand? Businesses exist to turn a profit. If they can't make enough profit to make it worthwhile, they go out of business. Obviously, they try other alternatives first, like the ones Ray mentioned. If they can raise prices, they will if the consumers will pay it. If not, then businesses will try to cut costs to make up for the added costs of labor. But people have to understand, there are risks involved with running a business and it's a heckuva lot of work and worry. So, the payoff has to be worth it, and if it isn't then they quit and try something else.

People look at the big corps and see all that profit and they automatically think greed, and maybe that's true in some cases. But there's also a heckuva lot of small businesses out there that ain't that profitable, and a mandatory $15/hr M-Wage is enough to blow them out of the water. They ain't greedy, but they ain't stupid either. Nobody is going to bust ass running a business and take all the risks involved for anything close to $15/hr. Those people don't have the luxury of raising prices or automation/computerization, or moving everything to a RTW state or overseas. Their options are somewhat limited and a lot of 'em just give it up.

High Schools and Universities do not teach about Domestic or Commercial Operational Costs.

One of my cousins owns a very popular entertainment business. He has reservations past the first of the year to get into the place. He's been very successful. When I became ill, he gave me a call. I didn't want to dwell on my depressing situation, so I changed the subject back to his business.

He said as much as he loves it, this is his busiest time of the year. He leaves the house at 6:00 am and doesn't get home until just past midnight. Because it's not industry, it's open 7 days a week. The guy gets no breaks and won't for a long time.

But because he is successful, these leftists feel that he should take that hard earned money and split it with his employees even though he pays them okay for what they do. They punch out after 8 hours. This is what the left considers fair.

And, as noted, nothing you said addresses the actual question.

Without employees it doesn't matter what the owners do and we've reached a point where the employees can walk away from crap jobs at crap pay because there are better opportunities down the road.

It's called supply and demand. core of capitalism. Kinda sucks to be on the down side of the curve don't it?

Where are these better opportunities?

You realize it's a symbiotic relationship, right? Employers need employees but employees also need employers. It's kind of a catch-22, employees can walk away if/when they find a better paying job, and employers can offer a job at a specific wage. Each has a choice, but the democrats only focus on the employees and ignore the other side of the equation.

These people need to be forced to write an essay on what it is they do that requires such a HIGH rate of wage/pay!!! All they do is STAND THERE and watch a burger machine do all their work for them! All THEY DO is wrap the burger and shove it in a bag! Other fast food just has people STANDING there, watching food cook. And even others just stand there in front of a prep table putting a hamburger patty on a bun and sticking fries in a baggie. EXACTLY WHAT about this requires $15.00 an hour??

They want to go union? LET THEM GO UNION!!! Boy, they will find out REEEAAAALLLL FAST how corrupt and useless Unions are!!! And just like all criminal organizations.......ONCE YOU ARE IN, THERE IS NO GETTING OUT!!! They have access to your paycheck, they don't give a shit about anything else.

Most of these people aren't even LEGAL in the first place!

I started at minimum wage, worked my ass off for DECADES to get to $15.00 an hour, until Obozo stagnated wages all across the country!!! Am **I** going to get a wage adjustment if federal minimum wage goes up to $15.00 an hour? HELL FUCKING NO!!! Which means, I'm STUCK at MINIMUM WAGE AGAIN.......and fucked over, once again, by the government!!!!
The going rate for work.
