Saddam held an entire nation in his grip of fear and death.
Our nation endured a revolutionary war and a civil war. Yet we held true to the tenets of liberty as well as unity. Over one million Americans then gave their lives to these ideals. Ideals that were held true to our hearts until 2008.
There is today a divider among us. Not a "uniter" as we have been led to believe.
A divider whose sole purpose is the destruction of that liberty and unity for which so many millions have given their lives since the dawn of this great nation.
As no one in particular recently said... "Mr. Obama, TEAR DOWN THESE BORDERS"!

That's what this flurry of stuff about "Bush Lied" is all about. It's to deflect our minds from the disaster that has been foisted on the region and the world by Obama undermining what had been accomplished by the war and the surge that had Iraq on the road to self governance, a huge paradigm change for the Middle East.
Obama couldn't live with Bush having accomplished anything like that and the little jerk undermined it all with his dealings - or non dealings - with al Maliki. Bush was in contact with al Maliki several times a month. Obama didn't have any contact with him at all during the year leading up to the failure to reach a Status of Forces Agreement.
Al Maliki no longer believed America had his back and he sought support where he could get it; from his Shia brethren; by removing the competent Sunni officers from the army who had joined with Americans during the Sunni Awakening; and finally his (Maliki's) turning to his fellow sectarian religionists in Iran, whom he no longer felt strong enough to go against with America gone.
Without those stupid mistakes ISIS would be confined across the Iraqi border in northern Syria WITHOUT all that American equipment and weapons abandoned by the Sunni soldiers of the northern Iraqi army when their leadership, incompetent crony Shia officers split.
