again, they're not debating the Ryan plan. as we know it..
You're not too bright, are you? Read my lips: THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT REPUBLICANS DEBATING THE RYAN PLAN. IT IS ABOUT REPUBLICANS BEING ACCUSED OF WANTING TO END MEDICARE. THEIR SUPPORT OF THE RYAN PLAN CONFIRMS THAT THEY DO WANT TO END MEDICARE AS WE KNOW IT BECAUSE....WAIT FOR IT...THE RYAN PLAN ENDS MEDICARE AS WE KNOW IT.
Do you get it yet, or should I breakout the sock puppets to better explain it to you?
but they aren't debating the Ryan plan.

I'm just trying to put you in words I understand. What does "in yer basement" mean? Doesn't sound very good.
Let's get you dimocrats up to speed.. they are debating Speaker of the House Boehner's plan which basically calls for a one dollar cut for every dollar increase in the debt ceiling and a move toward balancing the budget. is there anyone here unbalanced enough to oppose that notion?
This is totally a false statement. In Ryans plan he wants it reformed so we have something for us and our children. Plus, his current plan does not affect anyone 55 and above. If something is not done there would be nothing left for us. I know our family is preparing for this. Savings, 401Ks , husband military retirement ect .. We are not going to prepare for us to get social security because their is a lot of doubt that we will even receive it and the way Obama is going that doubt is becoming reality

You really need to get up to speed. This thread is not about the Boehner plan. This thread is about Republicans being accused of wanting to end Medicare. This thread is about the Ryan plan. Here, take a look at the OP and get a clue.

Ryan's plan ends medicare. Period. it replaces Medicare with an entirely different system.
they aren't debating ryan's plan.

Hello!!!!
They already voted on it. Call it what it is. The REPUBLICAN PLAN. Get it? It's NOT the Ryan Plan, it's the REPUBLICAN PLAN! Got it? Good!
And it's somehow my responsibility to pay for your health insurance? The solution to the Medicare problem lies in reducing the cost of healthcare. The increase in the cost of healthcare in the US has been rising at 6 and 7% for years well above the increase in personal income. For seniors who are mostly on fixed income, healthcare is well beyond their reach without Medicare. Not only are the costs rising for current services but everyday we see new life saving treatments which cost more than most anyone can afford to pay. Unless we reduce the cost of delivery of healthcare, we will not solve the Medicare problem.
The Ryan plan slowly raises the cost of healthcare for new retirees under 55 to a point that they will not be able to afford it. Then what happens? Enrollment in Medicaid starts increasing. The result being you are transferring cost from one entitlement to another.
About 13 million middle-class Americans were uninsured in 2008, up about two million from 2000. The Census Bureau estimates that 46.3 million people are uninsured in this country, but that was before the economy took a hit in 2008.
Nationwide the average cost an employee paid for a family insurance policy rose 81 percent between 2000 and 2008, even though the median household income fell 2.5 percent when adjusted for inflation.
The state-by-state cost review shows that family coverage premium increases for employer programs during the study period hit Indiana, at 74 percent; Minnesota and Rhode Island, 70 percent each; Oregon 69 percent the largest state, California at 65 percent.
But that doesn't tell the whole story. The cost of employee contributions rose even faster in some states. In Nevada the rise hit 171 percent; followed by Colorado at 133 percent, Massachusetts at 114 percent and Vermont at 107 percent.
Middle Class Hit Hard on Health Insurance
This was all before Obama even took office. Just like the two wars and the deficit, Republicans want to blame it all on Obama.

she said,,, seniors would live below the poverty line, I said, if the economy implodes where would they live then in yer basement?

You'll point out article and section of the US Constitution that justify that, won't you?

Because both sides are run by extremists who don't let the facts get in the way of the truth. Can you identify where the Republicans are doing the same thing?

Well, actually, by LAW, it is. Who do you think pays for emergency room? Duh!
