Many Trump supporters and Conservatives are less educated than most...and damn proud of it! Celebrating one's dumbness is a badge of honor for them, but why?? The answer can be found way back in the 70's during the reign of Republican Richard Nixon. In a Woody Allen film a beautiful WASPish woman was asked why she thought Mr. Allen (Character name Fielding Mellish) was a traitor to our country, she replied:

"I think Mr. Mellish is a traitor to our country because his views differ from those of the President and his kind, differences of opinion should be tolerated, but not when they're too different, then he becomes... a subversive mother!

Education forces us to consider diverse points of view, too look at things from the perspective of others. Education encourages us to think outside the box, and to seek new solutions, and expand our boundaries of understanding. This stands in stark contrast to the Conservative agenda, which tells us in little bumper sticker slogans that "we're right, and they're wrong!" "We're superior and they're inferior" "We're strong, and they're weak"

History is full of Conservative thinkers who (with the full backing of the church) taught the earth was the center of the universe, the earth was flat, many women were witches, and must be burned, the study of the stars and human autonomy, and other fields of science were the devils works, and the list goes on-

In my 64 years of walking this old rock called planet earth I've learned: Ignorance = Fear. It's fear that tells Conservatives that waves of evil foreigners are invading our great nation from the southern border and spreading violence and disease. It's fear that tells Conservatives they have to own a gun, or they'll be attacked at any minute, it's fear that tells Conservatives our universities are spreading the doctrine of socialism and liberalism, which undermine the values of our fine Christian nation...just like it's fear that makes Conservatives clutch their little bibles, and believe with all their Christian souls, that Donald J Trump is going to build a great, big beautiful, and MEXICO is going to pay for it.

I feel so sorry for these folks, though their intentions are good, they're blindly placing their trust in a man who doesn't give a shit about them at all....

What the left celebrates as education is indoctrination. They have rejected history and true scholarship in favor of socialist, racist, anti-humanity garbage that is preached from the pulpit of our classrooms.

Conservatives are rejecting ideologues and the marxist garbage they preach. Brainwashed leftist goons don't like that.

What I see the Left do is take a fact that the right seems to want to deny. For example, the climate is warming. If you say this to some on the right, then they will deny up and down the line that it is true. Then you use their denial of the fact to bash them over the head as "anti-science".

In the interim, little details like the fact that every planet in the solar system has warmed up is never entered into such a conversation as those on the right are made to look "dumb". It's a complex issue, but for the most part all I see from the Left is to generate yet another large pot of cash to "help" us via carbon taxes, kinda like Social Security that they steal from on a daily basis.

Creationism/evolution is similar area of weakness for the right. The Left touts that science shows that the earth is billions of years old, while those on the right deny such findings or questions them. Never mind that the Bible never indicates how old the Earth is even though it is interpreted in the KJV as only being thousands of years old, in fact, ancient rabbinical writings show that it was thought to be much older than thousands of years old like the King James translation lends itself into being believed. You just use this fact and laugh as your opposition makes fools of themselves.

In reality, the Left uses science like it does the Constitution. It uses it when it opposes their opponents, and ignores it when it steps on their toes.


Case in point is the fact that if Trump had signed onto the Paris Accord, scientists tell us that it would have done nothing to solve the current carbon emission issue. In fact, carbon emissions have gone down under Trump. Without countries like China and India stopping such emissions, because they put out far more than the US, nothing changes.

But perhaps the biggest kicker is, the Left still opposes nuclear power, which is carbon free. This, despite science making it far more safer than in the past, and despite the fact that science tells us that nuclear power is the only real viable alternative to mass produced energy needed to sustain our current level of energy use.

No, they don't want their Benjamin's going to build nuclear power plants, which are expensive, no, they just want to line their pockets.

When people make sweeping generalizations like this, they do so as a soldier for their tribe. By denigrating the other tribe, they bolster their own sense of superiority.

Why don't people apply the same standards to their own side as they do the other, hmm? Do they REALLY think our black population is the best educated segment of our population? How about immigrants from Mexico? After all, both vote democratic, the first group in overwhelming numbers and the second with a very strong majority.

The truth of the matter is that BOTH sides have dumbed down over the years. On the left, the dumbing down takes the form of identity politics and political correctness where one is not expected to think, but merely react in appropriate ways. One of the ways the stupid portion of the left has been trained to react is through the creation of this very simplistic binary where all who do not engage in identity politics are demonized, in this case, by calling them stupid and uneducated.

Dear Idiot. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you'd realize your statement also says that many Trump supporters and conservatives are MORE educated than most! For one thing, there is no correlation between being more formally educated (college/university) and INTELLIGENCE. College gives you information and develops skills, but doesn't raise IQ. But it does improve static test-taking ability. Further, there is no correlation between political leanings and education or intelligence. Quite the opposite: while many on the Left consider themselves smugly elite and superior, the conservative thinker is generally much more broad, receptive and open-minded. The fact that you think so only goes to show your LACK of intelligence. If more people in college seem to lean towards the Left, it is only because of the fact that:

1. People are heavily pressured to lean left politically in college by other leftards. Professors even punish those who fail to do so. As such, they are discriminated against.
2. People leaning right in school conceal it and pretend to go along largely out of fear of punishment and retribution.

Every school I know of has a day of indoctrination for new students. Then the students have to fight out learning for themselves, Dave. It's true, conservatives have a tendency to save money, but conservatives are often found in board rooms of bird conservationists, environment conservation, scientific and space technology boards. In fact, a conservative, Republican president began a new branch of the military that is dedicated to space science. It will likely save the world from blowing itself up many times over. This wise president's name is Donald Trump. And the President/bird conservationist who received a Ducks Unlimited special award for saving the lives of more ducks through environmental protection of cleaning up oil dumps? None other than Republican PresidentGeorge W. Bush.

Of course, you will never believe that conservatives have a decent bone in their bodies because you have your head in the DNC talking points sewer.
