*What Makes Serving In Military You More Deserving To Political Opinion?

Sorry bout that,

I get the feeling that a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, or Coastguardsman took CWN's girlfriend away from him.

1. ^^^^ His hope is to one day get a girlfriend, but his cave is so small and his shovel broke recently.:badgrin::badgrin:
2. I hear you bleep caveman, and its sad indeed, you went to war, and are about fifty six years old and have no gf in site, ahh shattered dreams, shattered dreams, what a shame caveman, maybe its just you huh palsie?
3. Well at least you have your porn sites.

I've been married for 20 years to a beautiful woman I've known since I was 16. She's my best friend. I'm 48; I turned 28 in Basic Training, the upper age limit for entrance into Active Duty. I've deployed in support of Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and the Korean Armistice. I was never in combat, as I was a power plant operator and aircraft arresting systems operator, and later I served in the A7 Installations Directorate at USAFCENT where I was responsible for a billion-dollar fleet of war readiness materiel assets. The C-130 crash in Kuwait in December of 1999 was no fun, but when it came time to board an aircraft again, I climbed on. I've safely stopped almost 20 multi-million dollar aircraft, saving the lives of around 24 aircrew.

No pathetic screeching from an internet retard can erase my accomplishments. And it can't make you feel better about yourself, no matter how desperately you wish it could.

Retard.

More meaningless screeching. Really, are you capable of being coherent?

He has a point. I'm a Veteran but my opinion is no better or worse than anyone else's. The dirty little secret is that the left has become hyper-sensitive about Veterans today after spitting on them forty years ago. The left consistantly confuses opinion with emotion so we have an emotional regard for the opinion of Veterans by the left.

A couple of years ago I was standing in line at a McDonads for lunch.

Next to me was a soldier in uniform with two small children beside him.

I over heard him tell another customer that he was deploying back to the M.E. for his third tour in a couple of days. So he was treating his kids to a Happy Meal and himself to the last Big Mac he would have for the next several months..

After the person took his order. The soldier started to reach in his pocket for his money to pay. But before he could pull his money out. I reached around and shoved a couple of $20's in front of the soldier and into the cashiers hand. Saying, "I'll take care of that"

People like ChesswarsNut will never understand why I payed for the soldiers meal?

As most are aware on this board. I am totally opposed the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan. But I am not against the soldiers fighting there. It's the politicians who send them into harms way. For good or for bad.

I support any and all American soldiers.

Because Vets have a common bond that transcends politics, race, religion, ethnicity, etc.

Again, this is something ChesswarsNut will never ever be able to understand or comprehend in a million years.

+1

I don't care if their far left-wing or right-wing. If they've done their duty and served their country, then they deserve my respect. I do not agree with Seawytch very much, but she served. That's all I need to know.

When it comes to hiring someone, I always gave ex-military the advantage. They deserve it...

And now, if I'm in a restaurant or a store and theirs military in there, I'll pick up their check. They deserve it as well...

It's like the respect that women deserve for simply being a woman... if you don't get it, then I don't know how to explain it to you.

I sported many a military guys a drink or six. Fun people to drink with..and they appreciate it too.

1. Another *high five* moment eh folks?
2. "Hey lets show this civilian how we do things, even if I hate the USA, and want sharia law enforced, yeah high five!" said with the Howard Dean scream/growl.
3. Look at all those who say thanks for this post, it has nothing to do with the topic, but you guys are losing this debate so bad, you are grasping for straws.
4. The fact that even sunni maniac is on-board for the military good ol boy network just shows everyone here just how strongly it is ingrained into the soldier, either you get ingrained, or you get thrown out of the military, it would seem.
5. Further proving my point.
6. This shit writes itself.
7. Pay attention folks, vets and non vets alike, this isn't a thread on how great you are, how generous you are with your fellow military personnel, or how willing you are to hire them etc. its all about why some of you always tend to throw down the *vet card* when you feel it will help you win a political debate.

They never really stopped spitting on veterans.

They never really proved anyone ever started spitting on veterans. I never have and don't know anyone who has. Where's the proof that that ever happened, except in an isolated case or two? Most people that were against Viet Nam, didn't blame the soldiers. We were just happy to be able to get them home alive.
