You can fake your rank or fake your combat experience and still be a Vet. Kerry showed left wingers how to do it and get away with it. It's not against the law to portray yourself as a Vet if you aren't a Veteran unless you receive compensation. This is an international forum and posters are obviously aware of their own lifetime experience.
