CIA "cooked the intelligence" to hide the fact that Putin wanted Hillary Clinton to win 2016 election

Urban population 254. million 81% Rural population 59.9 million in 2012
Urban population 294 million 87% Rural Population 35.5 milion in 2020.
Wrong. US Census says:

2010 Urban population 249,253,271
2020 Urban population 265,149,027

2020 Urban percentage 80.0%
2010 Urban percentage 80.7%

No change, and the rural population in 2020 was 66.3 Million, not 35.5 Million, so you grossly overstate the change...

2010 total population 308.7 Million
2020 total population 331.4 Million

Increase in population: 22.7 Million

2012 Election, total turnout for both parties 126.8 Million
2020 Election, total turnout for both parties 155.5 Million

Increase in turnout: 28.7 Million

The increase in turnout from 2012 to 2020 was 27% higher than the entire population growth from 2010 to 2020, and the urban/rural split was unchanged.

And in 2020. people fled the urban areas due to covid, the big cities were much more depopulated than the census numbers suggest.

My apologies, I read the data for urban population incorrectly.

2012 was one of the lowest election turn outs on record, and 2020 was one of the highest in history. And whether people temporarily fled urban areas in 2020 because of covid, it didn't change their home districts or where their votes were counted. It was just one more reason to use mail in ballots.

2012 was not anywhere what we would call a low-turnout election at 58,6%. It's smack dab in range. 55-60 is where the US votes.

Obama's 2008 win was a high turnout election, and Obama drew large crowds everywhere he went.

1992 58% (Clinton's first)
1996 52% (Clinton's second)
2000 54% (Bush 43's first)
2004 60% (Bush's second)
2008 62% (Obama's first)
2012 59% (Obama's second)
2016 60% (Trump's first)
2020 67% :icon_rolleyes:
