So Liberals.

let's discuss your platform! As I understand it you want a $15.00 per hr minimum wage. Guaranteed time off. Who will pay for this?

You also want affordable college for all, and child care for working families. Who will pay for this?
And single payer? Who will pay for this?

From where will the revenue come?

Please answer civilly and seriously. And, if you feel inclined explain how college tuition became unaffordable.
It's never been done anywhere else in the world.

So WHAT are you talking about, that's never been done?
A living wage?
Government mandated leave?
Subsidised tertiary education?
Government subsidised child care?
Single payer health care?

Surely, if any country has sign onto these things they must be a total Third World basket case by now!
Their citizens must be marching in the streets to get these oppressive policies repealed!

Sweden is said to be the most successful socialist country. Tax rate is 55% they have a 20% vat tax and various other taxes which leaves them with very little disposable income

I'll go with OZ and NZ and their $19/15 min wages.

The savings from not building a trillion dollar wall.

Even if we had money sitting there unspent, it would quickly run out. Then what? And it costs billions to house, feed and educate the illegals that come through.

It's also costing billions to care for the refugees.

So, where will the money come from? The proposals are going to be a yearly cost, not a one-time deal. And with costs going up, it means more money each year.

Q. So why hasn't Ryan and McConnell, self proclaimed fiscal conservatives, brought comprehensive immigration reform up for a vote?

A. Because it is a wedge issue and they can manipulate people like you to vote for them, in spite of the fact they do nothing but wag their lips.

Since 2010 the Republicans have been in control of the congressional agenda. What have they done in those six years to make you proud?

Amnesty............
As always, you make no sense.

How about this.........you dense. The Democrats have no problem with the illegals here because they profit off of them as well. That's part of their economy. It isn't necessary for reform. You have the laws and the tools.

How do the D's profit from illegals? Provide some evidence, and consider that many businessmen who own labor intensive businesses are R's - have your roof replaced, or have you house painted, you lawns cut or tree trimmed, concrete poured or other jobs required by labor, and in most regions of the US the workers will speak Spanish.

Time for Rethink on Minimum Wage

TIME FOR RETHINK ON MINIMUM WAGE

TUE 31 MAY 16

United Voice, one of Australia’s biggest unions, has urged the Fair Work Commission to look at a new approach to improve wages for Australia’s low paid workers.

Jo-anne Schofield, National Secretary of United Voice says “We are at a critical point in Australia. For the first time since Federation, Australia has a generation of working poor.

“The $15.80 per week increase announced today – just 41 cents per hour - will provide little relief for low paid workers caught in the trap of rising inequality in our nation.

United Voice notes the Commission’s statement that some low paid workers are living below the poverty line .

If there was a market for 24/7 365 child care, don't you think there is an entrapaneur or a businessman that would start one up?

No. It isn't that they aren't necessary and there isn't a market for it. It's that those are crap hours that no one wants to work and they can do enough business during the daytime so they don't have to.

Why was it brought up if there is no solution to the problem?

If they speak Spanish are they here illegally? Are there no Democrat businessmen that own labor intensive businesses?

It is not my job to check the citizenship papers of the people that paint my house, cut my lawn, etc., etc. That is the federal governments job to require e-verify by every employer and arrest those that are in violation of the law.

In my small town, there are several lawn care companies that are owned by legal immigrants who speak Spanish and English who may hire their fellow countrymen whether they are legal or not, and I guarantee you they don't vote Republican.

Pass a good SS ID card with a chip and END the illegal problem. The GOP has been blocking one for years (It's a CONSPIRACEE!!!!!!!). They actually love the cheap labor and only pull this bs during one of their recessions...
