I joined this forum a year ago on July 7th, 2022. About six months of me being here, participating in the forum, I decided to change my name, to something else. The forum platform, didn't allow me to change my forum nickname, because supposedly, I have to wait a year from the date that I became a member. So, I've waited six months, for yesterday, the date that is one year after the day I joined this forum. The nickname that I chose, still identifies me as a socialist, a communist, but it's shorter and it doesn't have anything profane or indecent. It has the name of a color and another word that isn't indecent.

I changed the name, and I received an automatic message that the admins have to approve of the nickname. OK, that's the way they do it here in the forum. The nickname was rejected. I didn't receive any details as to why it was rejected. Why was it rejected? Can I change my nickname? I was told by others, that they had the ability to easily change their nicknames, unlike me. Why? Does this forum, just want conservatives and a few liberals? Are communists barred from participating fully in the forum?

That's correct, a "commie is a commie" on this forum, regardless of their nickname. That doesn't answer my question. Why was my new nickname rejected by the admins? What type of nickname can I have besides the one I have now? Can I change my nick?
I don't know the answer, but, why not create an avatar with this new name so in the meantime you can advertise it? So let's say it were "CommieLover" or the like, just make an avatar with that name splashed across and it will be shown everytime you post.

lol, thanks for the suggestion, I'll consider it.

We're anonymous. These names are meaningless. Get on with whatever you are here to say.

I always figured the year's wait was to give 15 year old commies a year to grow up and abandon their silliness.

Because in outer space, nobody can hear you scream. But on social media, the whole world can hear you scream forever and ever.

So now you're stuck with screaming to the world that you're a commie. :laughing0301:

Communist complains the prevailing governing authority won't grant him freedom he desires. :eusa_doh:

The word "Soviet" means "worker's council" and they could complain and even recall delegates from the legislature. The Soviet Union wasn't as "totalitarian" as you've been taught by Western Cold War propaganda.

It makes the forum much more interesting, even entertaining for everyone, to not just have one political point of view or even just two views, like Republican conservatives vs Democrats. The more diverse the political perspectives the more opportunities for expanding one's knowledge.

It's easy to understand why the current one embarrasses you.
One of the posters is correct. The nick is too long and it ignores the socialist aspect of my politics, which is just as important as the communist object. Socialism is the process that leads to communism. It's the earliest stage of communism, hence I should have a nick that doesn't emphasize just the objective, but the process as well. That may not make much sense to others, but that's how I think now, after some reflection. Why shouldn't I have the ability to change my nick? I contribute extensively to the forum, like everyone else.
