We need a forum on Crime….and here’s why

Forever they said legalize drugs then we can stop the black market drugs and control addiction.
Which was stupid as illegal drugs are always cheaper and often stronger. And, anywhere drugs are legalized is a magnet for illegal drugs.

The people that devise these programs are not only idiots, they're evil.

It's the low-hanging fruit that law enforcement won't touch. In fact legislators across the country want to make drug use legal (most of their supporters must be users). See my comments at the bottom of my posts.

That's nonsensical.

You shouldn't have to.....A .22 round applied behind the ear settles all problems.

In fact the three strike rule should be brought back and updated.....The third felony gets you a trip to the burn pit and a .22 round behind the ear.

That's psychotic.

You missed the point. They legalized hardcore drugs. That experiment failed as deaths from overdose are increasing

That's wrong.

Forever they said legalize drugs then we can stop the black market drugs and control addiction.

It failed but im sure the legal sales increased tax revenue.
Straw man. Nobody actually did that.

That's psychotic.

Election season is in full swing, and there are separate forums for two of the top three issues that weigh on voters’ minds: 1) The economy, and 2) Immigration (mostly illegal). There is, however, no separate forum for the third top issue, which is 3) Crime, which the majority (according to the Pew study linked below) are concerned about.

Given the skyrocketing rate of crime, and that it is among the top three issues of concern for voters, why should only the first two get a separate forum and not the third?

There is no skyrocketing rate of crime. All crimes including violent crimes and property crimes have staedily been declining since the 1990's. Crime is down 15% since 2020, and is lower under Biden than at any time under Trump.

Or treatment centers.
They are just a grift scam for the most part.

Drug rehab centers can be effective in helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve long-term sobriety.

However, success largely depends on the patient’s commitment to recovery, the quality of the treatment program, and the availability of aftercare services and support systems.

Force someone into rehab and chances are they will come right out and abuse again......Rinse and repeat.

My plan would be to keep them in a treatment center for 30 days for the first drug offense, 60 days for the second, 90 days for the third. After that they are set free with the understanding that there will be no more emergency help or treatment from publicly funded agencies. Of course, they can remain in treatment on a voluntary basis but cannot leave the facility unless accompanied by a staff member.

Of course, if they commit a felony attempting to obtain drugs they will be treated as a felon and not a drug addict.
