Saying that, the GOP methods of securing the border are pretty much bullshit... They are trying to secure a huge border with one of your biggest trading partner... You better set your expectations real low...
The best way to reduced undocumented crossingsn would be to enact a number of policies in one sense and reverse the Trump policies which caused some of this mess...
First, pay to help security south of the border... It is US Drug demand which is causing these people to flee...
Second, create a proper visa (both temporary and permeant) program and then fine employers for having undocumented workers. A general amnesty to all applicants of this visa. US has a major labour shortage and this border issue is driven by supply and demand..
