Speaker Mike Johnson promised no funding for Ukraine would pass the House without 'transformative' border security provisions - as immigration talks in the Democratic-led Senate seemingly grind to a halt.

'Ukraine funding is dependent upon enactment of transformative change to our nation's border security laws,' Johnson wrote in a letter to the White House Tuesday.

'Any national security package has to begin with the security of our own borders,' the speaker insisted in a news conference on Capitol Hill.

Without question. How much of the black and moderate vote have they lost due to it? I never thought Trump would have a chance in 2024, but, if I were to list the policies I would would want the Dens to enact to ensure the gOP have a real shot,.the open border would be number one. If Johson doesnt give in, he is earning jobs for numerous GOP politicians in 2024 as voters will say "maybe they finally have a clue". It is painfully obvious how unpopular the U.S border is.

They love his policy until the illegals move in next door to them. The Massachusetts governor was pleading for people to open up their homes to the influx of illegals flooding Massachusetts at this point.
