Michael Tomasky - Congress To Get More Conservative.....

So you are a submissive nothing. OK. Stand for nothing then.

Me, I am in the party (the good part of it) and doing good things for the state, as we continue to isolate the hard right.

The dems don't count.

Two hard right senators, Mia Love.....and a governor that will go down as a real dickhead.

You ain't doing shit.

Unless you want to take Tomansky on....Shut The Fuck Up.

The lead story out of the mainstream political press this year has been that establishment conservatism “tamed” the Tea Party, and to the extent that a number of Tea Party challengers lost to establishment conservatives in GOP primaries, this is true. But it’s also a fact that McConnell’s caucus is about to get considerably more conservative than it had been, with the addition of seven very conservative senators: Ernst, Perdue, Colorado’s Cory Gardner, Nebraska’s Ben Sasse, Montana’s Steve Daines, Arkansas’s Tom Cotton, and North Carolina’s Thom Tillis.4

In a nutshell, this election did nothing to hurt the Tea Party.
Doesn't look like it matters much

In the grand scheme of things....I would agree.

However, I was just pointing out that JakeTheFake is dreaming when he says the Tea Party (far right conservatives) are a dying breed.
You said the above, L, not me. The TP got the shit kicked out of it last week. Let's see if that continues.

You have a keen grasp of the obvious.

So what happened to Boner ?

Seems he's rolling over.

Tough shit.

He is, rolling over the TP into mush.

He's kissing their asses.

Or haven't you gotten out of your little room to read ?

Shit this is easy.

Won't touch what? What is the point you are trying to make? That it's going to be a more conservative Congress?

Tomasky's assertion.
How about you using your words, to tell me what your point is, OK?

This isn't his Daily Beast column, it's for the NY Review of Books, for the December 18th issue. So he prolly wrote it between the 10th and the 17th.

There will always be the lunatic fringe. It's just a question of how much power they will have. I believe their reckless actions have strengthened the Moderate/Business Wing.

The American people don't want to to play games with the world economy.

Nowadays, people aren't getting much for their tax dollars.
That's an insane statement.

No, it's not.
Of course it is. We're free, safe, and are taxed less than we have been in 80 years. We have clean running water, city sewage systems, roadways that are built, then maintained. All that costs a lot of money. Call a construction company and ask how many millions of dollars it would be to build 100 yards of approved Interstate.

Speaking of insane statements...

If you had bothered to pay attention you'd have known that my comment was in regards to the value of education in the US today. On that front, we do not get much for our tax dollars. Tax dollars get you a generally worthless HS diploma, and a mountain of debt to pursue higher education and technical training.

In Utah they have special ed classes to teach Democrat kids like Jammie-Jake to deal with buttons 'cause sheep can hear zippers at 1,000 yards. But it's mostly funded with federal bucks so we can all congratulate ourselves for our contributions.......
