Yes, it has been mildly protective in regards to epilepsy, but it has also been shown to cause schizophrenia. Furthermore, the half life of pot is rather short. So if you had to pick between a drug designed to help with epilepsy and has a long acting time in the body, or an illicit drug with several side effects, poor timing in the body, and increased risk of other diseases, which sounds smarter?
