Which brings me to the other thread I started about impeaching those in Congress.

I'm all for it, yet it has not been done since the 1700's.

Why?

It's because in slowly turned into a Progressive cesspool.

You cannot impeach members of Congress. Why is that fact so hard for so many of you to understand?

The procedure to remove them from office is much, much simpler.

Not true.

One Senator was impeached in the late 1700's and then Congress all decided it was not for them, I think much like Congress decided we needed term limits for the President due to corruption but again not for them. So then they decided to just come up with their own rules to remove people, which rarely happens. In fact, Congressmen like Charley Rangel can have "ethics" violations a mile long and not be removed. You know, stuff like not paying his taxes, etc., that we would go to jail for yet he was never removed. It is so bad, that Congress considered doing away with their Ethics Committee because after they uncover dirt on people nothing really of significance comes from it anyway.

You are apparently not familiar with the history. I suggest reading it again. The House wrongly interpreted from the Constitution that they had the right to impeach Senators. The Senate disagreed, but the Senator in question resigned before they could remove him. It has never been tried since.

This is no means a comprehensive list. In fact, it is only the tip of the ice burg I'm sure. But here is a whole slew of offenses and Constitutional violations that the Swamp and press ignored.

Another Democrat, U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, shared a similar sentiment. Obama ignored them as did the press

16 Anti-war activists who helped elect Obama accused him of using the same “off-the-books” funding as his predecessor George W. Bush when the president requested over $83 billion from Congress for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq

19. Kathleen Sebelius, Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, was caught violating campaign finance laws in 2012, but despite federal law requiring Obama to fire her over the illegal activity, he refused to do so.

20. Obama nominated Bruce Heyman to be the ambassador to Canada in 2013 after Heyman raised more than $1 million for Obama

21 Obama asked contractors to disclose their political donations before bidding on federal contracts in 2011.

22. Asked Attorney General Eric Holder to investigate himself for lying under oath U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath when he said he had nothing to do with monitoring the emails of Fox reporter James Rosen, even though his own signature on the search warrant. In response, Obama asked Holder to investigate himself!

23 Broke promise to end Bush’s surveillance of U.S. citizens who were not suspected of committing a crime

24 Obama, as a U.S. Senator, illegally used a taxpayer-financed trip to campaign for far-left presidential candidate Raila Odinga in Kenya’s 2006 elections.

25. During Israel’s 2015 elections, the Obama administration — led by Secretary of State John Kerry — illegally intervened when they attempted to defeat the reelection of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by covertly funneling State Department grants to opposition groups. The Obama administration detested Netanyahu due to his refusal to cave into Palestinian demands, a group that even refused to recognize the existence of Israel.

The government watchdog group, Judicial Watch, obtained government documents that “show the U.S. government has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with leftwing, billionaire philanthropist George Soros.” Indeed, Obama’s ambassador to Macedonia, Jeff Baily, worked to funnel millions of dollars from the State Department and USAID to groups created by Soros which were, according to JW, working to overthrow the conservative government.

27. In 2011, Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, not only interfered politically in Libya but militarily as well, by orchestrating a series of policies designed to remove Muammar Gaddafi from power. While it would be a stretch to call Gaddafi a U.S. ally, he was cooperating with the U.S.A. in fighting Islamic extremists and had turned over all his WMDs to American officials. Western investment was flowing into Libya, the country was becoming more westernized and, most certainly, it was no longer a threat to the USA.



So as we can see, there are perks to owning the deep state and press.

IRS Apologizes For Aggressive Scrutiny Of Conservative Groups

In a legal settlement that still awaits a federal judge's approval, the IRS "expresses its sincere apology" for mistreating a conservative organization called Linchpins of Liberty — along with 40 other conservative groups — in their applications for tax-exempt status.

And in a second case, NorCal Tea Party Patriots and 427 other groups suing the IRS also reached a "substantial financial settlement" with the government.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the two settlements Thursday. The Justice Department quoted him as saying of the IRS activity: "There is no excuse for this conduct. Hundreds of organizations were affected by these actions, and they deserve an apology from the IRS. We hope that today's settlement makes clear that this abuse of power will not be tolerated."

It's "a historic victory," said Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, a conservative nonprofit legal group representing the Linchpins plaintiffs. Sekulow, who is also on President Trump's personal legal-defense team, said the IRS agreed to stop "the abhorrent practices utilized against our clients."

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis resigns, scolding Trump over military judgment

Mattis didn't agree with Trump on allies............and specifically Trump calling them out to Honor their word on more military spending in NATO. Trump did trash them saying they aren't doing their fair share in NATO and the United States is paying an unfair amount compared to them.
