You are 100% correct!!Unlike Christianity, Islam actually resembles a continuation of the Jewish faith and the the will of the god of Abraham
The Quran is actually a book mainly about the Jews and Judiasm
Why do you care?
Could you provide scriptures from the Qu'ran/Koran demonstrating how Islam separates itself from Judaism in this regard? I was under the impression that Kafir were never 'true' equals and even those whio converted were distinct. The primary difference between Islam and Judaism is that Islam rejects racism and the notion of a "chosen people."
Christians were informal in their religious practices, prior to persecution by Islam. It wasn't until Muslims began their encroachment that Christianity began to become centralized in Rome and Constantinople. Before that (and continuing, but in small pockets) Christianity was simply a personal religion, with no designated head other than our heavenly Father.
Because it is a personal religion and thus de-centralized, people tend to think of "Catholicism" and "Christianity" as one and the same thing. They aren't. Catholocism lacks the one basic precept that is integral to Christianity...the belief that all that is needed for salvation is grace, and grace comes only from God.
I still want to know how they got Mary, the mother of Jesus, down as the sister of Moses, Miriam. Maybe the names are the same in translation but still, we're talking hundreds of years apart.

You are still so self-righteous about what constitutes Christianity and what does not. You probably wont look at all of the different types of Christian denominations and interpretations, but other people might.

Now, pray tell us, which one is the true Christian denomination preaching the true gospel and giving true instruction?
LOL. Cant we all just get along?

Yes, kafiruun are thought to be misguided, but status as a kafir isn't dependent on ethnicity. Non-Muslims in Madinah were even granted equal status when Muhammad and his followers fled there and established a compact between the city's warring factions. It follows that non-Muslims should be treated equally under Islamic law as long as they recognize its authority.I was under the impression that Kafir were never 'true' equals
This isn't the case at all. Keep in mind that virtually all of Muhammad's followers, including the early caliphs, were converts to Islam from heathenism.and even those whio converted were distinct.

From the Koran:
Sura 2: 85-88
We gave Moses the Book, and followed him up with a succession of Apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary; Clear signs and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an Apostles with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride? Some ye called imposters, and others ye slay!
They say, "Our hearts are the wrappings which preserve God's Word: we need no more." Nay, God's curse is on them, for their blasphemy: Little is it they believe.
Sura 2: C-47
The people of Moses and the people of Jesus were given Revelations, but alas! They played false with their own lights, and, in their selfishness, made narrow God's universal message. To them it seemed incredible that His light should illuminate Arabia and reform the world. But His ways are wondrous! They are clear to those who have faith.
Indeed, in the very beginning of the Koran, God provides a very sharp rebuke of Christianity as we know it.
There are many Christians on this forum. Can at least one find an adequate response to the Koran?
If you are about to attack the personal integrity of Mohammed, remember that most of the Prophets of the Old Testament were seriously flawed, and King David himself was both an adulterer and a murderer. Christians believe that God works through flawed individuals.

Then they are all wrong and your god is a lie or a liar. If there is one god, then he has one word, and his truth can only be read one way, for the events only occurred in one way and there is only one truth. That one and only way is the logical extrapolation and implication of the orders of that god beginning with what what is expressly stated. Any doctrine of man which seeks to change or 'interpret' the word of god flies in the face of god and is o the devil.
The 'problem' you present does not exist. You can be judged by your works because your works are evidence of your heart. One filled with the holy spirit will, by the nature of the holy spirit, be moved to do good works and keep the word of the LORD. One who is not, weho has a wicked heart, will by their wicked nature be moved to do wiched and ungodly things and will not keep the word of the LORD
It's very simple, really
christains commit acts of terror....mcveigh, whom yall would love to forget....the biggest domestic act of terrorism....claimed to be a christian....abortion doctors are shot to death in church ....eric rudolph was a big hero....
