Actually, yes, they are. This is another problem that makes the EC problematic, even though it's one that benefits the Democrats.

Now, I've actually been a Census enumerator twice. And I can tell you, non-citizens avoid being counted. I've literally had a house full of people hush themselves because they knew a Census worker was outside.

Of course, there are also white people who don't cooperate with the Census because they don't want to tell the Gummit anything.

So here's what happens when I can't get an answer at a house. I asked the neighbors. If the neighbors aren't helpful, we go to the local school district or other officials. So mostly, everyone gets counted. The 2020 Census was a clusterfuck because anything handled by Trump was a clusterfuck. (We just didn't notice because of his bigger clusterfucks.) But even that was fairly accurate.

I personally have opposed for years our nation’s love for fighting dirty little wars in far off places for little reason. All too often once we have eliminated the immediate problem (if there is one) we stick around trying to change the targeted nation into a “democracy“ which just enables large scale malfeasance and corruption.

I don’t speak for long term Republicans as until up to just four years ago I was a registered Democrat. At that time I realized the Democratic Party had stopped being the party of the working man and headed off in a different direction becoming “woke” and embracing Marxist socialism. As many have said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party as much as it left me.

Trump really isn’t a Republican either. He just hijacked the Republican Party‘s elephant and rode to to victory over Hillary’s lame Democratic Party’s donkey.

I like Trump’s ideas but not necessarily Trump himself as he is far too polarizing. He often is flat out obnoxious but to be fair he is just your archetypical New Yorker. I actually like my Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, as a candidate for President. Unfortunately Trump is far better than DeSantis at firing up a crowd so DeSantis dropped out of the race. DeSantis is more of a doer (a guy that gets things done) than a speaker. He is IMO the best Governor Florida has had in the half century I have lived here.
