He DID know about the robbery. The call about the robbery went out as Wilson was finishing up a call regarding a sick baby or some such. He heard the call and so knew about the robbery, he just didn't know Brown was the suspect in the robbery when he saw him and Johnson walking down the street. It was while he was engaged with Brown that he noticed the cigars in Brown's hand. THAT was when he realized Brown and Johnson were the suspects and attempted to stop them.

I don't know or Care if he was in the vehicle or not. The point was, Wilson reacted to JAYWALKING with a physical assault. This NEVER should have escalated to that point.

The witness testimony says otherwise.
