Bernie Sanders wants the US to become Venezuela

if we have either a President Bernie or Hillary, you know that after election day we will all be racing to wal mart and stock up on 8 years supply of toilet paper

If you would have asked Hugo Chavez a few years ago if he was going to do the damage that he did to Valenzuela when he was elected and imposed his stupid filthy ass socialism he would have told you no way.

The same as Commie Bernie denying that his policies would do great damage to the US.

They both would be wrong. Leftest are usually wrong.

Socialism sucks. Democratic socialism sucks just as much as authoritative socialism.

The Commie Bernie shitheads are simply too stupid to understand what is wrong with Left oppression and failed Left economics.

Trump needs to use Venez. as an example of what will happen if either one is President

Very thoughtful thread. You really made your case. Except nothing you posted even tries to connect Bernie's proposed policies...instituted in the US....with anything that has or is happening in Venezuela.

Awesome job.

You are absolutely right, Bernie's form of socialism is more similar to what they practice in Greece. And there fine, right?

No, Bernie's plan is more like Denmark:

Denmark has a stable population, social cohesion, a great educational system, energy independence, fine health care including free family planning, jobs and a retirement system for everyone, comfortable housing, lovely countryside and plenty of leisure time to enjoy it. In short, why wouldn't the Danish people be happy? They have built themselves a society that looks after their citizens and gives them many reasons to be satisfied with their lives.

Denmark: Small, Happy Prosperous Families -- In Contrast to U.S.

To be like Denmark is an impossible dream.......We are too big...too diverse....and populated with many idiots (as confirmed by this forum alone)......NO, my contention is that Sanders would like for us to emulate what most European countries have been able to do for their respective populations regarding health care, education and respect for our planet's ecology (whereas we have in this country a bunch of climate change denying nitwits.).

So you think the climate change denying nitwits are keeping us from socialistic utopia?

Personally, I think what is keeping us from a utopia is... we have too many selfish bastards in our country.

Venezuelas socialist model worked just fine when there was a strong market for oil. They were so socialist that they even offered low cost heating oil to poor people in the U.S.

Oil market crashed and so did their economy

The U.S. economy is not built on a single commodity

Not me , You can call me the toilet paper king, I will make a fortune off of you wiping your ass smuggling in shit paper.

Yeah - it's the oil, not the socialism!

Wow, how ignorant can you be. It should tell you all that this country is dependent on oil.. - a luxury which many successful non-socialist countries don't have. Damn the socialism apologists... If Venezuela didn't have oil the socialism wouldn't have lasted even as long as it did, basing so much of the economy on the soaring oil prices of the 2000s was dumb as hell. It is ironic though that it is the things socialist can't stand - CO2 and oil... that made their lifestyle possible.

Having such a large oil deposits and still being able to ruin it all only adds to the failures of socialism.

When oil was booming....so was Venezuela

They rubbed our capitalist noses in it by providing cheap fuel oil to Americas poor families

And what might your point be?

I hope you have now correctly identified that the problem in Venezuela is socialism.

Let me make it simple then

The U.S. Economy is not Venezuelas
Just because Venezuela is failing is not justification for the U.S. To do nothing to help its citizens

Let's make it really simple so even you can understand: Socialism is a failure. Can't condense it more than that.

Because socialism fails everywhere, that is a justification for ANYONE reasonable not to attempt it.

Socialism is a failed system...Dumbass:slap:
All societies are a mix of socialism and capitalism
The question is getting the correct mixture

The U.S. Has socialist schools, infrastructure, police and fire, military

The success of USA is entirely due to LACK of government coercion, and the tradition of honoring freedoms. A culture which has unfortunately dwindled, with the economy, in the last 100 years.

But no, USA is not the most successful economy on earth today, according to pretty much every indicator you can think of. We can thank those socialist programs for that.

I wonder, does your IQ permit you to get anything right?
