Majority of Americans wrongly believe US is in recession – and most blame Biden

Those people are wrong.
They are correct

Your op is wrongand you have no supporting evidence

You are clearly out of touch with reality, You claim ther US is banning books, This is an outright lie as none have been banned. You claim they support propping up dictators they do not.

The ecoonomy is in shambles and it is the fault of the dementia patient posing as president

  • 55% believe the economy is shrinking, and 56% think the US is experiencing a recession, though the broadest measure of the economy, gross domestic product (GDP), has been growing.
  • 49% believe the S&P 500 stock market index is down for the year, though the index went up about 24% in 2023 and is up more than 12% this year.
  • 49% believe that unemployment is at a 50-year high, though the unemployment rate has been under 4%, a near 50-year low.

Its puzzling but perhaps it proves the powerr of right wing misinformation. It also illustrates
the stupidity of many American voters. Perhaps if they paid more attention to the economy and less to banning books and stringing up trannys they might have more informed opinions.

Anyway it looks like many of them are about to make an act of nationa lself harm.
They go to the grocery store and see that food costs are up sharply from just a few years ago, and not coming down. They go to the gas station and see that gas prices are up sharply from just a few years ago, and not coming down. They go to their second job that they had to take just to keep up with the bills, then they see the talking heads on the news going on about how wonderful the economy is doing and how happy they should be.

It looks like they're realizing just how significant their act of national self-harm 3 years ago really was.

Yes, many will still vote for President Biden.

"Stupidity of American people", You obviously learned your flair for words from Hillary.

How stupid must people be to believe we're in a recession just because they can't afford groceries, housing, and energy all in the same month?

Nobody believes the inflation numbers and unemployment is only low because worker participation rates are lower. GDP is up because housing is now outrageous in the US. It is almost as expensive as it is in the UK but we don't have council housing for the working class to fall back on the way you do.

The only explanation I can imagine is that inflation was terribly destructive and terribly disruptive (clearly), and people are blaming Biden for it on a variety of levels.

Never mind that the inflation jump was inevitable. Americans just don't get into the details by and large (although I don't think that's just in America).

Bottom line, we get what we deserve. If we're not going to worry about details, then too bad.
President Biden is responsible for the massive, unbelievable spending. As President Obama's Chief of Staff said, "Never let a good crisis go to waste". Well, the President and his handlers, sure took that to heart.

LOL Do you really think telling voters they are stupid is a good campaign strategy?

Which are, of course, the very expenses that hit poor people the hardest.

None of the idiots in this thread even care. all they know is what team they are on.

Real inflation is about 30 percent. We see it everyday. The regime pumps out the smoke and mirrors.
The costs of comforts, eating out, fast food, movie theatres, motels, cruises, sports, vehicles, fuel to travel and anything related has gone up far more than before Joe. We are not even talking everyday living with food, renting and purchasing homes and the bills that come with it. So, if you have it, it affects you less. If you do not, you are affected.

But the Democrats are all about the little guy!!!

Of course, once you realize the little guy in question is Jeff Bezos, everything they do makes sense.
