You know just because there's a crazy man on the street corner saying that a one world government is going to bring upon the apocalypse, doesn't mean I'm going to believe him. You see, he and you are very much alike. You both see things in a completely different light from the rest of the world. You think that your vision of what is around you is the reality of the situation. The sad thing is, it's not.

The American Government is no more authoritarian under Obama than it was under Bush. The government as a whole is not very authoritarian at all, especially compared to actual authoritarian governments in the world.

There are many aspects of our government... proposed legislation, enacted legislation and some actions of certain agencies of the government that can at times be very oppressive. But it's a huge bureaucratic entity and as such is not one homogeneous blob that thinks and acts the same.

Fight against the ACTIONS of government that are authoritarian and terrible... like SOPA and PIPA and The Patriot Act and the NDAA. Nobody but fellow doomsday soothsayers are going to really take you seriously when you start wailing about an authoritarian 1984 style government in America which anybody who is sane and logical can see doesn't exist here. This is a fabulous country to live in.

It was fabulous to live in the United States under Bush, even though he was an awful president... and it's still fabulous to live here under Obama. Sorry, but one president isn't going to change and destroy this great nation.
