Zalensky rejects peace....Trump halts all weapons shipments

It depends upon how much blood and treasure Putin wants to spend.

Putin has Crimea and Donbas and eastern Ukraine, about 20% of Ukraine.

He can call a ceasefire and celebrate a victory, or he can keep fighting and see what happens.

If NATO can enforce a boycott of Russian oil, that would squeeze Putin's finances even more.
After all thats happened if i was Russia i would press up to the Dnieper River.

It would probably just make russia more dependent on china

You keep threatening nuclear war. Bad idea. Sanctions and a Russian oil boycott can show Putin that a battle-scarred Ukraine isn't worth the harm caused to the Russian economy by continuing the war.
Russia see NATO in Ukraine as a vital threat. It basically means that there is no way to push Russia back with something lesser.

That's where the economic contest is being waged, place your bets, on BRICS or US Dollar.
Its not just about me. But yes, many people are losing their faith in dollar. Many believe that gold might be better.

The EU has nukes. France & Britain have about 500.
Britain is not a part of the EU, not anymore and it didn't join "pro-Zelenskiy league" (at least not officially)
Doesn't matter how many nukes do they have during peace time. The real questions are:
1. How many nukes will survive first Russian counter-force strike? (lesser than 100).
2. How many will be able to start and fly? (the recent two British launches failed)
3. How many will be able to penetrate Russian ABD? (It depends, but Moscow ABD will be able a intercept at least one hundred of them).
4. How many Russians will be killed? (If Russia strikes first, Russia has both strategic and tactical alert, its population is partly evacuated and partly sheltered).
5. Will the Russians consider those numbers as "unacceptable" or "acceptable" (but "pissing off enough to genocide 90% of British and French populations")? (Given the nature of the threat - Russia consider its losses in WW2 as "acceptable").

And, after counting all factors, we see, that those 500 nukes transforms in the anemical "less than one million killed Russian civilians" (may be much less).

That is a nutty statement.

Putin cannot win a nuclear war with the US and you know it. It would mean the complete destruction of all of Russia. And radiation mutations for dozens of generations after that. Putin is not a stupid man, he doesn't want that.

Putin lost? Get back to me when you can support that.
This is the Parliamentary Russia election in 2021, look who came second, i will post the Presidential results that Putin won later.
If Russia pushes their advantage in Ukraine, we should take Cuba.

It would give Trump his waterfront resort to develop without dealing with Hamas, and it would take away a port of call for Russian subs.
Good luck with that, remember what happened last time and under what pretext would that happen?

It would also mean the destruction of the US no winners.

That is a nutty statement.
It was statement about possible (and, looks like, almost inevitable) war with "NATO without USA" (Russia vs EU+Britain).

Putin cannot win a nuclear war with the US and you know it.
Russia can win a nuclear war with the US, but even in the best scenario it will be rather expensive (both in money and human lifes).

It would mean the complete destruction of all of Russia. And radiation mutations for dozens of generations after that. Putin is not a stupid man, he doesn't want that.
Of course, not. If Russia attack first, even in the worst scenario, Russia will suffer terrible, but pretty acceptable losses (twenty million killed top). Of course, nobody wants it, but much lesser we want NATO forces in Ukraine.

Trump was giving Putin everything he wanted AND asking Zelensky to sign over his mineral wealth.

How was this a good deal for Zelenskyy?(link)
It is a good question.

There is plenty of upside for Zelensky, but it is not explained well in the press...

  • Most importantly, there will be a cease fire and peace talks, and people will stop dying, billions will stop being wasted on death and destruction, and the threat of WWIII will subside.
  • Zelensky preserving 50% of his mineral rights will be far better for Ukraine than losing it all when they lose the war.
  • They would have maintained a friendly relationship with the US.
  • If Americans are in Ukraine mining and making money, it would be a significant security guarantee, as rare earth supply is a national security issue. (link)
  • If America owns some mineral rights, it could help Ukraine retain more territory.

The problem with a "cease fire" is that appeasement doesn't work.

Did selling out Czechoslovakia in 1938 stop WWII from happening? Nope. It just made it worse by putting Germany in a better position and making other countries think throwing in with Hitler was a good plan.

Everything else is Trump acting like a Mob Boss shaking down a diner for protection money.

.

Did he really believe that he could keep the gravy train going that he had with Biden?

True, unless Trump puts heavy Tariffs on China unless China avoids Russian oil.

Good luck with that, remember what happened last time and under what pretext would that happen?
1. Last time was "Bay of Pigs", not US troops.
2. Pretext? Pick one. A Russian sub just visited there. Because we can, just like Putin invaded Ukraine.
3. because Trump wants to develop beach front resorts, Miami South.
