He had options long before any of the hostilities broke out that would have left him with all of his land. He chose otherwise and now he wants everybody else to suffer the consequences of his bad decision.

The Russian buildup on his border took 90 days during which time he simply refused to come to any type of agreement with Putin. At the very least you could have made some temporary concessions that would have avoided the invasion.

Yes Zelenski may have made mistakes that might have avoided the invasion

Which may be what trump is thinking about when he says if he had been president the war would never have started

But that was then and its too late to change that

The reality is that russia is too strong for Ukraine to defeat them and regain lost territory
