The biggest problem to me is that the leaders on this issue have constantly been promoting this fear, year after year, meeting after meeting. Lake Meech Accord in Canada, Koyoto Protocol (spelling), annual meetings on the issue, constant warnings, the new Paris Accord that is just a scam dressed in sheeps clothing, shipping currency to Communist China (what moron would sign that and destroy their own economy to help China until 2030?). On and on we hear the Town Criers howl in pain.

So when is there going to be a "real deal"? Every time something is signed it's "ground breaking" and "a generational shift". Then we see the same pandlers (or same nations leaders, didn't faces) with their hands out the next year promoting the next B.S and there is little to no progress. They are shameless. Without pride or character.

It's sold every day of the year, even during a pandemic when global climate and pollution aren't top of mind for anyone except those profiting or living in a bomb shelter.

People are dying, not able to see their loved ones, able to work or even go outside, and some continue to tell us "climate change is an existential threat". Really. Then when in the hell is a global pandemic? Anyone going to wag their plastic finger at Chinas leadership? Also, apparently the global shutdown cleaned up much of the polluted air but it's conveniently understated.

This isn't to say that their aren't legitimate issues and those fighting for them, but it always ends in the misery for the over-stretched small fry taxpayer living in a Western country while some wealthy A-hole giving everyone else a lecture takes his private jet to a meeting somewhere to talk about how to cut down on citizens footprints. Roaches.

Either have a legitimate and binding agreement globally enforced TODAY, or sit down and remain silent and let citizens go about their business. Until the Communists, India and other big benefactors are paying a personal price and are on board and serious, we are all wasting our time, whether climate change is real or not.

Scenario B is about CO2 emission at fixed current rate for 1988, but the post one article shows it has increased a lot since 1988, as I showed at post 24

Scenario B is obviously wrong, CO2 emissions have gone up since 1988 while his scenario B is CO2 stays at 1988 rate (no increase at all).

Scenario A allows for increasing CO2 emissions from 1988 onwards.

Dr. Hansen wrote,

the mocking of hansens 30 year old study by science deniers is almost as old as hasens study itself...

AFAIK they haven't even started ... too much material has to be backtracked ... and by "too much" I mean about five times the length of the Holy Bible ... or about a third of The Wheel of Time ... but no way will any UN agency declare themselves moribund ...

Scenario B is obviously wrong, CO2 emissions have gone up since 1988 while his scenario B is CO2 stays at 1988 rate (no increase at all).

Scenario A allows for increasing CO2 emissions from 1988 onwards.

Here's the entire story of GW in a nutshell.. The "climate sensitivity is one of the most important variable estimates in a climate model as represented by the "equilibrium and transient" temperature response to forcings.
As the ECS/TCR numbers went down over the years -- the models got 'better" and the "PROBLEM" get cut off at the knees.. Which I like to say is a great example of the "science never being settled" -- because science is ALWAYS "settling".. And THESE numbers have "settled" a WHOLE BUNCH in just the past couple decades..

Which is WHY -- you don't get the monthly/weekly headlines of doom/disaster/panic anymore..

Scenario B is obviously wrong, CO2 emissions have gone up since 1988 while his scenario B is CO2 stays at 1988 rate (no increase at all).

Scenario A allows for increasing CO2 emissions from 1988 onwards.
