Would a Hilary run give cons the election?

The dems have two problems. Obama's record and the fact that if Hill doesn't run, Biden will be the nominee. I just don't see the money going to anyone else.

The dems will probably lose over obamacare, which is a pity because their were options like just offering tax credits and exchanges. Imperfect to be sure, but without the govt mandating what coverage was necessarly. An incrementialist approach.

The good news, if like me you really want Citizens United to be shown to the ashcan of history, it may be beyond the gop's heiracrcy to deny the RW fringe another loon candidate. If they run on repealing Medicare and ending financial aid for mamograms and bitching about "takers," Hill could win.

I think Hillary would actually have a pretty good chance of winning. That is because her opponents would be spending so much time whining and smearing her, they would, once again, forget to tell us why we should vote for them.

2008: "We're not Obama!"

2012: "We're not Obama!"

2016: "We're not Hillary!"

Okay. But what are you?

"We're flag pin wearing freedom juice!"

The way obama and the dem/libs have screwed up the economy all they need to say, is "we are not democrats or liberals".

Nope. My vote has to be earned. If you don't tell me why I should vote for your guy, then your guy does not get my vote. Telling me why I should not vote for the other guy is not telling me why I should vote for your guy.

"I'm the lesser of two evils!" just doesn't cut it. I'd still be voting for evil, and I will not do that.

You know what cons would say? Really?

I would say it's way to early to tell what an election outcome is going to be in 2 years when there are no candidates yet announced.

did you really know I would say that? (you probably should have if you listen to what I say)

Please don't let it be Hillary. Can you imagine the fun the Repubs would have. They would investigate blow jobs for the first 3 years, and whether or not Hillary knew Bill was getting his ashes hauled by a hot intern.
Then, Did Hillary REALLY kill Vince Foster. That is what I and everyone else will find out and it will take the Repubs in Congress 4 years on that topic.

Bout the time we are all tired of blow jobs and blue dresses and Vince, the topic will become Obamacare.

Then Benghazi, which will have investigations running in the background if it even LOOKS like Hillary will be President. Eventually they will try and impeach Hillary over Benghazi. And fail.

No, we Don't need the Rethugs in the media and CONgress to have the Bill and Hillary Show to drag us through for 8 long years. I think I would have to pass on voting if I can't get a better choice.

You are not far from the truth

The GOP playbook has the Republicans trotting out all the anti-Hillary dirt they thought they had in 2008. They don't seem to care that the public did not care about it back then and will not care about it in 2016

Then why did the GOP not do anything about it when in power?

Are you sure? Damn, I hate it when that happens. But I don't want Hillary. I do want Elizabeth Warren to run. The first populist politician since Bernie Sanders. And Bernie's just to old to run. But I would vote for Bernie in a NY minute. Hell I voted for Ross Perot. So what's that tell you?

We're on page 4 now and STILL no one has given a reason to vote Republican.

All I see are reasons not to vote Democratic.

That is not a winning strategy. Any jackass can smear the other candidate. That's what cowards do, and people can smell that fear. This topic is rife with fear of Hillary. The stench of that fear is overpowering. Serious flop sweat.

Losers.

Yeah yeah yeah, we all know what the cons would say. This is a question for the libs. After eight years of Obama, wouldn't Hilary be too much more controversy for the electorate? Does this country want four more years of obstructionism from the cons? Would feminism be the obsession? Aren't men already feeling taken over, with women getting the majority of jobs?
I think Obama has done a good job of staying away from the "poor blacks" issues, focusing more on more popular stuff, like healthcare and immigration and unemployment.
But I think the electorate is ready for less "special" focus, and more inclusive issues for the country as a whole. Of course the cons tunnel vision for the "special treatment for the rich" is going to sink them again, because they never learn.
But no matter which lib runs against Hilary, it's probably who I'll root for. And if she gets the nomination, I doubt I'll vote for her.

Hillary is an unpleasant person who won't be able to be sheltered by the media if she's running for the top job. Obama got by on his skin color, but the country is as sick of the administration now as they were after 8 years of W. The Dems only chance is a dynamic, I'm not Obama candidate. I'm pretty pessimistic regarding the liberal steamroller, but 2014 and 2016 are not shaping up well for them. By 2018, the onslaught of socialism will gain traction again.

For the most part, I agree with you

I think Hillary has become stale. She has been in the public eye for too long. She is no longer the dynamic Hillary, she comes off as a tired old lady

If Republicans can exploit that, I think she is beatable. But Republicans and their FoxNews propaganda arm will beat Benghazi to death and try to play the blowjob, Whitewater, Vince Foster nonsense they overplayed twenty years ago

Make Hillary a victim and remind America what shameless assholes Republicans can be and Hillary will be unbeatable

.. There's to many butt-ugly pictures of Hillary floating around, she's accomplish very little in reality, Democrats rejected her when a toothy smile showed up, she's no lady she's a horses pa-toot, She just too old and should be put out to pasture..Yup, I hope she runs.

And that is what I am talking about in the Republicans inability to beat Clinton. She is beatable...its just that Republicans cannot do it

If Republicans try to photoshop their way into the WhiteHouse they will be laughed off as asshole Republicans being asshole Republicans

Turn Hillary into a victim and you lose

Wow, this forum is a funny farm for cons! And the GOP is keeping them doped up on LSD. Reality is just too unbearable for cons to deal with.

Before you carry on with your slagging off the cons fest perhaps you would spar a moment to tell us why YOU want Mrs Clinton to be your candidate? It can't only be because you think Bill should be back in the White House, exercising his rights over the female interns, can it?

There it is. The default position.

This is one of the biggest blind spots the Right has today. "I am too chickenshit to put any solutions on the table, and too devoid of ideas to tell you why you should vote for me, but I can tell you how much the other guy sucks ass."

Obama is not running.....he has already kicked GOP butt twice

What success is the Republican Party going to run on?
Obstruction?

Therin lies the rub. If the gop trots out another campaign touting medicare vouchers and solving the budge deficts by not subsidizing mamograms for working class programs, smearing Hill will be irrelvant. They'll say stuff like "Benghazigate," and the media will have report her answer of "it was terrible, I took responsibility, it won't happen again but .... oh by the way .... I got the Iran sanctions that brough Iran to the table when the gop couldn't do it." The gop will say "Iran lies, we need to use the military." They'll get 25% of the vote on that.

There are signs that even Ryan has backed off soc sec and medicare, and is actually possibly, just maybe, interested in governing with actual workable solutions. We don't know what the gop approach will be, yet.

For a liberal to talk about blind spots is the essence of hypocrisy but also funny...:lmao:

I wouldn't say he kicked butt, I'd say he lied his way to winning elections by saying what people wanted to hear then doing the opposite. I really don't have a problem with you accepting an alternate reality rightwinger.. enjoy your dementia..

Obama can win elections, he just can't lead...

And the far left has given no reason to vote for the (D)'s other than the usual propaganda.

Democrats have a healthcare plan in place. Republicans can only run on cancelling it. After being an obsession for seven years, I don't think the public is going to rally around the Republicans

As much as the Republicans have tried to stall it, the economy is improving year by year

Republicans once again stumbled on Immigration Reform as they have repeatedly blocked popular bills

Democrats are on the right side of history on Healthcare, gay rights, energy, environment and foreign policy.....Republicans have been beaten at every turn

Most importantly, Democrats will portray Republicans as a party of the rich. Republicans cannot point to a single GOP initiative that benefits working or poor Americans

It wouldn't take much to landslide her. What's funny is the repubs are terrified of her.
