Hear me out please. Some are worried cops are standing down and violence will soar. Not so.
- Look, when you’re down on your luck, sometimes people steal. Especially from CORPORATIONS who just write it off. Seriously, shoplifting should be like a parking ticket not an actual arrest. Without fear of police response, these people

- Drug violence? It happens. But if taking Petty property from stores doesnt carry such a bad consequence, fewer will NEED to sell drugs to get $ for the things they need
Insurance companies will pay out more for theft to WalMart, grocery stores, etc etc.
But I think a police standdown will actually decrease violence
All good points. I will not be surprised if what you predict happens. The crime rate will fall because fewer things will be considered crimes.
Also suppose someone breaks into your house and steals three of the four large flat screen TVs you own. When you report it you will be asked why you own so many TVs. You will be informed that the burglars were just reappropriating some of your excessive wealth.
Plus you better not shoot any intruders who are black or BLM will burn your house down and of course you will go to prison for owning and using a firearm. Just welcome the burglars in and be polite while they pillage your house and hope they don’t hurt you or your family. Don’t bother calling the cops. They wisely never respond to a home invasion until the invaders have left.
It will be so hard to hire police that cities will hire convicted criminals when their sentences are over. It will be rare for any criminal to have a sentence over a year so there should be a good number of younger criminals available. After all it takes a criminal to catch a criminal. The fact that the entire police force is composed of ex criminals will also help to reduce the crime rate.
Insurance will cost so much that most retail stores will close. You will order everything you need online, The streets will be filled with big brown delivery trucks with guards armed with shotguns riding shotgun to prevent theft. Every house will have a large lockable bin in front for packages to be dropped off to deter porch pirates.
Privileged white people will leave the large cities and move to large guarded communities in rural areas These fenced in communities will be guarded by ex-military soldiers who have plenty of combat experience fighting our constant useless, dirty little wars in foreign hell holes. Our military industrial complex will still be rolling along and democrats will be getting kickbacks from corporations who have military contracts.
The cities will be so dangerous that many people will work from home rather than work in a skyscraper in a big city. High speed internet in the rural areas will promote working from home in remote areas.
The big cities will no longer have a tax base as all the rich people have left and most of the stores are closed so they will crumble and full apart. Garbage pickups will be rare and consequently the rat population in the big cities will be at least double or triple the human population. Rat catcher will be a real job just like it was in the Middle Ages.
Plus forget the Bill of Rights in our Constitution. The Democrats having figured out how to rig every election will have added several states to insure they always control the Senate and will have stacked the Supreme Court. There will be no real freedom of speech unless it’s approved speech and civilian gun ownership will be forbidden unless you are a licensed guard. You will be considered guilty until you prove yourself innocent. There will be an approved state religion called “Global Warming” and all other religions except Islam will be forbidden. (Can’t forbid Islam or Islamic terrorists will spring up everywhere and ruin your day.)
But on the positive side democrats will insist it is just wonderful that we now live in a socialist worker’s paradise and in a few years everybody will have all the toilet paper they dream of having. Just be patient.
