While I do have issues with "Once saved, always saved," we should remember the naysayers when Jesus began proclaiming, "Sins are forgiven." Some said that if sins are forgiven, why not sin? Most know that repentance (turning away from the sin) results in, Sins are forgiven.

I kind of wonder if 'redemption' and 'saved' got mixed together. Jesus obedience to God resulted in the redemption of all mankind; but salvation was (originally) about being inspired and touched by God's grace to bring sanctification to the soul. Our redemption was about changing our lives. One touch of grace starts us on our way, but we need that continuous touch, not a one-time touch.

Question: In former times the days did not begin in the morning - they began in the evening - what's perhaps - asides the impatience of our children - the main reason why we Germans start to celebrate Christmas in the evening of the 24th of December, indeed the beginning of the 25th. Stowe also worries that the U.S. bishops are missing a chance to find common ground with Biden.

Nonetheless, the bishops wanting to send a tough message to Biden are determined to press ahead.

This tells me that either the church does not believe it to be mass genocide like their official teaching says it is, that is, comparable to the Holocaust, or they have no conscience.

I and my three wifes are all good Catholics" - what's is by the way one of my favorite Catholic jokes and what's perhaps indeed true if you would know the concrete circumstances. For example it could be simple impossible for a former Muslim on human and/or Christian reasons to "fire" one of his three wifes and to give her defenceless at the mercy of unknown human beasts.
