Back in 1971, there was an "In & Out" Burger in Azusa, CA. The burger place was close to the boundary of three local PDs and LA County Sheriffs, so there were always a few marked units on 7 in the parking lot.

A stoned individual walked through the parking lot, past cop cars with cops in them, up to the counter, with two uniformed cops placing their orders, with his handgun out and announced he was robbing the place. The next thing he knew, he had 10 guns in his ear and that many cops yelling at him to "drop it".

The guy was so wasted he hadn't noticed the cops and kept yelling, "How did you get here so fast?!"

The cops couldn't keep a straight face while the arrested him and he was taken to the local station.
