My daughter lives in Scotland her husband is a DR and I have trained therapist in the UK. They do pay more taxes and a 15% sales tax on every purchase.

In France, cradle-to-grave costs very close to what it does in the U.S., but healthcare is included and children are provided university level education. No one goes bankrupt over medical costs and kids don't sweat getting a degree if they wish. It could be called more human oriented than to profit. I have quality private health insurance, but I can't see a doctor. I get interns and 'physician's assistants' who don't know what they're doing.

I have Medicare insurance, but that doesn’t mean I get to see a doctor. I developed an acute condition that landed me in the ER, and for follow-up (for six weeks), I was referred to a specialist’s office.

In that time, I NEVER once saw the specialist. I was “treated” by the staff, and they missed something so obvious I almost ended back up in the ER.
