Why We Don't Have Universal Health Care.

I truly can't understand why liberals want to put our health care in the hands of miscreant politicians like Trump.
Why not? Trump sets a good example. He doesn't drink or smoke, gets his exercise (although he could lose a few pounds). ;)

The people in America don't want socialized medicine. They prefer to see doctors of their own choice and not to be subject to financial assrapery
You can only see doctors in your insurance's network. If you change job and insurance, you can no longer see that doctor. I can see any doctor, any specialist. If my doctor orders a test, no drone whose job it is to deny is denying it.

75% of people in Canada have a private plan to supplement the public plan.

I am all for a good look at some form of public health care.

At the state level.

I don't need CA bankrupting the rest of the system by trying to care for half of Mexico.
The private plan covers things like drugs, dental, chiro, etc. Doctors, tests, hospitals, all covered.

Those who can't afford healthcare need to take good care of their health. Of course, this isn't as easy as it sounds.

Poor person: "How can I have better health?"
Doctor: "Take these pills.":dev3:

You know, like all the other developed nations (among others) have. The reason is because of the Insurance industry and the money they can get politicians to take. I say we hang the insurance industry out to dry.
You will then be paying for your medical needs out of your own pocket.
Also, it's likely many medical practitioners will move on to more lucrative and less stressful occupations.

Doctors leave because of low pay. It's the nurses that bear most of the stress.

Easier said than done. People don't want to give up their cherished bad habits. I'm guilty as well, still drinking coffee, too much salt, workaholic. :( That said I'm pretty healthy for 85.

I had a great doctor for many years. Then my company changed insurers, now I get interns only, no doctors. Their residency only lasts one year and they move on. So, I never know who I'm going to see next time. Of course, their supervisor comes in and confirms their diagnosis (and bills my insurer) but that's not like having a long-term doctor. I don't even get the same supervisor. :(

Generally not true.

If you are defending a socialized health care system, that's fine.

Both have good and bad attributes.

I have never had a test denied.

I am sure it happens, but I doubt it is as common as some might believe.

The closest to doing that was Obama and he could not do that because it would have cost him and the Democratic Party billions from the insurance companies, big pharma, AMA and other groups that make big money off insurance.
