Zone1 Why was Jesus sent?

You need to read the whole passage in context.
That's how I arrived at my conclusion. The context was about who Jesus was, not who Peter was.

Only if you ignore what was written.

19l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Well then there, was the church built on Peter, or Jesus Christ?

Your loss.
The Holy Spirit isn't a person that one has a relationship with. If "it" were the disciples and the early church would have recognized and acknowledged it. The HS only became a person in 381 A.D. at the Council of Nicaea, and only in the Roman church. When the true church came out of hiding (the Reformation) the trinity was not part of Christian doctrine. Only those later denominations that concurred with the authority of Rome accepted the trinity doctrine.

The Holy Spirit has always existed just like Jesus has always existed.

Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Members of his church are the body of the church. Peter was the foundation upon which Christ built his church.

When was it recognized that Peter was the foundation of the church, the first Pope (papa)?

When Jesus made him so. Who else do you believe Jesus made the leader of his church?

Peter was killed by the Romans, in Rome. Three hundred years later he became the first Pope of the brand spanking new Roman church. Meanwhile the true church went into hiding without a human leader. See Revelation 12.

You didn’t answer the question. If not Peter then who?

Why is a human figurehead needed. I think Jesus Christ is a pretty good foundation. Church offices are described for us in the NT, no Pope included. "Call no man your (spiritual) father..."

Ask Jesus because Jesus said, 19l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

I believe that power and authority was given to all of the apostles, but did not continue after their deaths, including Peter. If there was a "chief apostle" it would have been James, not Peter.

We must not be reading the same thing.

Could be.
19l I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
