There was a church in Rome that tradition says he and Paul founded. If you read Paul's letter to the church at Rome you'll note that most were Jewish converts and that his theme was largely condemning the lifestyle of the Roman gentiles as well as the salvation of "all Israel". No mention of Peter as pope.

The kingdom message was to be preached to the lost tribes of Israel to whom Jesus was "sent only" and to whom he sent the disciples including Peter. The true church, the body of spirit-led believers, were in hiding at this time to escape the persecution of Constantine's 'Christian' church, persecution that lasted until the Reformation.

you are referring to the christian bible written by the crucifiers in the 4th century - forgeries and fallacies on nearly every page ... to convince otherwise and alter jesus's message of liberation theology, self determination as why in the concluding scene of those events the jews had jesus crucified.

the 1st century is the repudiation of judaism - false commandments hereditary idolatry religion of apartheid claimed heavenly personifications that never occurred et al.

Jesus fulfilled many of the Laws of the Torah. Notably the sacrifice of animals as atonement for sin and effectively ended the laws of separation/exclusion from the Gentiles. He raised the commandments to a higher moral level as well.
