Agreed that no such Jesus existed, a trinity that became a sacrificial Jewish mangod, a perfect human sacrifice, to pay the penalty for “believers” sins, as long as they celebrate the torture and death of Jesus and practice idolatry every now and then on Sunday, (to prove how sorry they are for their sins) so they could live life as oblivious assholes, and sin with impunity for life and not die the death, a curse, for sinning. That's why it was a big deal that they worshiped Jesus as God. They risked their lives. They must have had a good reason to risk their lives. No one knowingly risks their life for no good reason. The NT explains the good reason they risked their lives.
