What person in your life do you admire the most and why?

How about people throughout history?

I admire many people for many different reasons. I won't get into specifics but the ones who have been with me and who have always been there with me to this point humble me - at the same time, our relationship is transparent, true and strong - that when disputes erupt they tend to get resolved as fast as they erupted. Sometimes without saying a word. That is the definition of trust, respect and true (non romantic) love.

I admire lay people - especially the ones who take vows of poverty and Mother Teresa is one that stands out often for me...

Mother Teresa practiced her faith in "the doing". The extreme suffering of the world's sickest and poorest people - whom she cared for day after day - had a profound affect on her "inner" spiritual faith. She questioned how can a world under God have so much pain, suffering, persecution and hatred?

Although inwardly she may have questioned God and her faith - She exemplifies how true faith in God can manifest itself through selfless works and acts - even when one questions it all internally.

She overcame her inner doubts day after day and was a beacon of Light, Hope and Healing for many. She took the absolute most difficult path in life - choosing a life of physical poverty and selflessness - overcoming inner doubts, challenges and pain and manifesting them as courage, healing and life for the sickest of the sick and the poorest of the poor on Earth.

I admire everyday people who get up at the crack of dawn and: Drive a bus, drive Ubers or taxis, clean bathrooms, serve tables, teachers, front line workers who risk their lives for the sake of society, fast food workers, hospitality workers, road construction workers, landscapers, general construction workers, sanitation workers, and just about any other person who works a job and rarely gets the respect they deserve from others in society,

I admire our military personnel - many putting aside personal beliefs to protect the Sovereignty of this country - giving up their personal freedom to protect ours.

The single parents working overtime or multiple jobs - then taking their kids to practice after work, cleaning the house, cooking dinner, and everything else for their family. And all parents doing the same thing for their families as well.

I admire people on the Spectrum, the physically disabled and the under privileged who wake up every day and do what they need to do for the day - despite not being dealt the same hand in life as others. Overcoming some of the most difficult obstacles in life - manifesting miracles that are rarely acknowledged.

I see the power of the Holy Spirit at work through many of these people - no need to know what their individual beliefs are - because God can manifest himself through anyone he wants - and he certainly does.

I admire my wife, she has stuck with me for 43 years through thick and thin, I spent 10 years heavily depressed and suicidal and she stayed with me, I have been crippled since 2021 and she takes absolute care of me and always has, I am not easy to get along with cause of the depression and medical needs yet she stays with me.
