Zone1 Why does a good God allow evil?

Free will says otherwise. God tolerates what we do. The definition of tolerate is to allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.
How can it be "free will" if its logical? If everything is cause and effect based on rules (of logic) then it would be ordained that the action occurred as it did. OK thats probably a completely separate topic though.

That's usually not how it works. We usually discover truth from things we do wrong. You can take almost any written standard and there will be lots of failures that led to the standard being written. Only then will we understand it like you are suggesting.
For clarity, I am agreeing. I am saying if we know enough about why something occurred, we can understand how it was indeed logical. You're saying it better than I am.

I didn't say free will was logical. Humans have free will to do all kinds of things some of which are illogical. The consequences of their actions are logical. It's a self compensating system so to speak. We learn from our mistakes. Or at least we are supposed to learn from our mistakes.

OK, now I understand. Fair points.

Nobody who has read their bible can say that it's a good god.

It's a very evil god that promotes the most evil practices ever known to mankind. Slavery being among the most mild of what he praises!

is that the spirit, (it) would not be free were it not triumphant - one or the other to even be judged.

judged by the heavens for admission ... they do know, they created life everything stems from their creation - you may not know - life is good.

Life is a wonderful gift;

"....It's like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get." - Forrest Gump

If one is "free" and/or "triumphant" THEN they are judged - does this mean that someone who is free and/or triumphant could be judged not to enter the everlasting - even though they are "free/triumphant"?

That's nice. :)

Not to miss the complete slaughter of all the men, women, and children who he carelessly sentences to death!

And for what reason?

Was it God or those who disobeyed God's covenant?

The Broken Promise.

Jeremiah 34:

This word came to Jeremiah from the Lord after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people in Jerusalem to issue a proclamation of freedom for their slaves. Everyone who had Hebrew slaves, whether male or female, was to grant them freedom, and no one would be allowed to keep a fellow Jew in the state of slavery.

1 All of the officials and the people who entered into this agreement, swearing that they would set free their male and female slaves so that they would not again be enslaved, obeyed and granted them their freedom. Afterward, however, they changed their minds and once again forced back into slavery those to whom they had granted their freedom.

Then this word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, saying,“Every seventh year each one of you must set free any Hebrew who has sold himself to you as a slave and has served you for six years.”

Your fathers, however, did not listen to me or obey me.
Recently you repented and did what is right in my sight by proclaiming that freedom was to be given to your brethren and even making a covenant with me in the house that bears my name. Now, however, you have renounced that agreement and profaned my name when each of you took back the male and female slaves to whom you had granted freedom and forced them once again to be your slaves.

We are all sentenced to death when we are born. The length of our sentence is not known.

You can be included in my discussions too if you learn how to behave appropriately. Last chance. Some of us are going to try to improve this board.

Otherwise you can just fuk off.

What you posted: "Not to miss the complete slaughter of all the men, women, and children who he carelessly sentences to death!" is not a 'discussion' nor is it even a sentence. It's just a nasty retort with no meaning. :fu:

To give you something to bitch about maybe?
