Why do some Americans believe they single handedly won WW2?

Like Vietnam?

Like installing and arming the Taliban in Afghanistan?
The British military would have failed without our lend lease, in fact the only military in Europe that didn't need outside help, was the German military.

We needed a huge coalition in order to stop them.

Did you know the colonies needed the Dutch, French, and Spanish help to win Independence?

Most wars on the planet are won by alliances. The US only got involved because the Japs bombed you. Then you came in part-time and lost more troops than the UK because you were all over the place. There were times UK forces had to take command of us troops, you were getting slaughtered.

You're a definite candidate that needs to go and study history, Hollywood and Disney are not good sources of info, they've failed you.

I've studied history. And not the history of cold war era teaching history.

As as for higher American casualties is a no-brainer.

Over 5 million British people served in the military during World War II, while 3.5 million served in the British Army specifically. This total includes personnel from the British Isles and the wider Empire, with India providing the largest contingent of over 1.4 million troops.

Approximately 16 million Americans served in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II.

You should study math.

Went beyond rationing to complete government control of the economy.
They told Ford you can’t manufacture cars, you will manufacture airplanes
They told you what to make, raw materials you could get, wages, who you could hire, profit you could make
+That is right. It was so powerful it yanked the USA out of the great depression.
This is why Democrats wage war on us all to put Socialism back into operation.

Actually it is socialism.
Even if just invoked for a limited period of time.
No, it isn't. The government placed orders for weaponry from American companies. Those companies then filled the orders. At no time did the government take over those companies.

Read the defense production act. And the second war powers act.

Key Provisions of the Second War Powers Act

Gave the government greater power to control scarce materials
including the allocation of imported materials like tin
Allowed for reorganization of government agencies and corporations as needed for wartime efficiency.

Yeah, NOWHERE did they get the power to take over companies. An essential element of socialism.

Instead of using brass for fancy lamps, that brass went to make bullets. Jewelry makers switched over to silver because it wasn't an essential metal. Etc.

the German Airforce wasn't destroyed over Britian, do yourself a favor and learn real history.
You learn some History other than the crap from Hollywood, the RAF downed almost two thousand Luftwaffe aircraft so they didn't have command of the air and couldn't sustain that level of losses, i would call that pretty much destroyed.

That is the way it works today

In WWII, the government told companies what they could produce for the war effort. Consumer goods were not allowed.
You couldn’t call it total socialism
But it was far from Capitalism

Your failure to grasp Basic facts about the war is astounding.
