For the vast majority of Americans who are unaware of our story, on June 8, 1967, the Israel Defense Forces murdered 34 Americans on the high seas (31 sailors, 2 Marines, and an NSA civilian). Out of a total crew of 294 men, 70 percent became casualties, with 174 wounded in addition to the 34 killed. Israel’s torpedo attack on the USS Liberty constituted the willful attempted murder of 294 Americans on the high seas.

Responding to our SOS about 15 minutes into the attack, the USS Saratoga launched conventionally armed fighter aircraft to assist the Liberty. But just minutes after the Saratoga launched its rescue mission, the White House recalled all aircraft, abandoning the USS Liberty and subjecting her to an additional hour of the Israeli turkey shoot.

In disbelief, RADM Raymond Geis, commander of the Sixth Fleet Carrier Division, challenged the order (as was his right and responsibility in this situation). Unbelievably, the White House again reaffirmed the order to recall all aircraft despite the Liberty’s plea for help.

They have been:

1. If the attack on the USS Liberty were an "accident", why did the Israelis use unmarked planes in the initial attacks?

2. Why did an ethical Israeli pilot refuse orders to "hit" an "American ship" and get arrested for his integrity?

3. If it was an "accident", why did the IDF strafe lowered life rafts and hang them in an Israeli museum as a trophy?

Feel free to ask them the same questions and see if you have better luck.

Plus they used first the Mirage III, then the Super Mystère. And guess how many nations in that area used those planes?

I can answer that simply, none. One thing that is easy to tell about the two sides in the Arab-Israeli Wars is that their aircraft could not be any farther apart. The Arab nations used almost exclusively Soviet Block aircraft, and Israel used almost exclusively aircraft from the US and France. That makes it damned easy to tell which side it was that conducts any attack against anybody in that time period. If it was a Warsaw Pact plane, it was the Arabs. If it was a NATO plane, it was Israel.

The very fact that the aircraft were all of French manufacture would have meant that having them not painted would be retarded. It would be like removing the markings from a B-2 or F-22 and expecting people to not know what country it was. If it was really some kind of planned false flag to blame another country, why not use jets that country might actually use? Those Soviet aircraft were available almost everywhere at the time, does anybody think they would not have used an aircraft that the Arab nations actually used?

That is one of the worst parts of the claim this was some kind of purposeful attack or a false flag. It's not like anybody else was using French fighters in the region. The only other air force in the area was not involved in that conflict at all, and they used primarily US fighters at the time.
