Actually, what you saw was some fanatics of the Muslim faith who had bastardized the teachings of their religion. Church doctrines and dogma vary widely from what is actually written in the bible. Since this discussion is about the beliefs of today's Christianity, it makes sense to discuss how all the rules and commandments are viewed by today's Christians, and why.

And here I thought that because of all those contradictory and irrational beliefs someone might be interested in what was actually being taught through those fantastical stories and hearing a rational explanation for their astonishing confusion and obstinate stupidity revealing sound wisdom and teaching from another sphere of superior intelligences that is by far superior to even modern theories of the inner workings of the mind that conforms to and is confirmed by reality.

The concept of heaven and earth were well defined for people of his time. There was no ambiguity, and it would have very unlike him to use unfamiliar terms without some sort of indication of what he meant. There was never any indication of him trying to trick his followers, or misrepresent his words.

Before the creation of heaven and earth when the law was spoken into existence as "a light to the nations" their world, wandering in the wilderness, was flat meaning they were all just former slaves, with no concept of sinners, no saints, no angels, no demons, no mountains, no valleys, no clean or unclean animals, no good, no evil, no rich, no poor, no world above and no world below.

The world was without shape or form and void (lawless) and darkness (superstition and ignorance) covered the face of the deep (the unknown)......
