Where do democrats find these people? Talarico’s comments read as pretty darn racist™.

It’s understandable that Talarico, as a democrat wants to pander to blacks but I don’t think he understands that such slimy tactics have a way of alienating not just the target audience but a much wider audience.

Texas Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico said many white churches do not reflect the Jesus described in the Gospels and argued that black churches have a “deeper and more accurate” understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.

Speaking on the September 2024 podcast titled “Holy Conversation: Faith and Politics,” Talarico said too many white churches focus on the afterlife instead of on “freeing the oppressed and healing the sick and feeding the hungry.”

Many "white churches" have aggressively sold their soul to a man who is essentially the opposite of the Jesus Christ they pretend to follow. It has damaged families and relationships. It has stripped the church of any claims it may have still had to "morality". Christianity has been set back a long way due to what it has done.

So I guess any criticism is worth at least considering.

That tirade was actually pretty funny.

Why doesn't Mr. Talerico belong to a white church then? Sort of hypocritical, black churches do accept honkies who want to attend and would be glad to bring him aboard.

Black Churches have always understood Jesus better than White Churches

Church is a celebration of Jesus with singing and dancing and people shouting out praise. People come out happy enjoying the service.

White churches are dull events centered around the pastor. Church is an obligation not a celebration
