Fine, but Americans use only a handful of clichés and catch-phrases. They skip and jump from one cliché to the next one and seem lost between them.The modern day English also has between 11,000 to 13,000 idioms, meaning phrases used to describe something or to provide a comparison. Some sources support that there are even more than 13,000!
But there again, the average American's grammar is awful.Considering this additional confusing element (verb tenses are hard as well imo), that many English speakers insert regularly into their words ....
