5 republicans were pro choice. How can the supreme court rule any differently. 2 Democrat ruled with them
and 1 Dem and 1 Republican were pro life.
Because of the value of human life. What part of that don't you get?

In today's America, conservatives/republicans are the cause for abortion.
They don't support contraceptives. They don't support responsible and effective sex education.
They don't support women. They don't support equal pay for equal work. They don't support health care. They don't support child care or anything that a woman will need to raise a child.
Republicans don't support making the man responsible for every life they create then turn their back on and walk away from.
So women get abortions.
I have no problems holding men responsible financially, culturally, and everything.

Good grief how stupid. Your ignorance is mind numbing.
What is ignorant about pointing out truths?
The political affiliations back then were totally different than today. You had Republicans & Democrats were not defined the same way as we have been told many many times by the left, yet now when it suits your political purpose, you redefine.
I doubt Roe v Wade will be an issue anyway.
Nixon probably didn't deal with Supreme Court nominees but left it to subordinates who might not have been conservative. Whether or not the Justices were appointed by Ike or LBJ or Nixon is inconsequential. Just like a FDR appointee, Justice Black, who was a former member of the KKK justified FDR's incarceration of Japanese Americans without due process, the Supreme Court is really not "Supreme". The best we can do is try to find a candidate who relies on the Constitution.Left wing logic? Republicans should support abortion because (mostly) Nixon nominees to the Supreme Court found a "right to privacy" that didn't exist in the Constitution. Duh.
Historically and politically, Richard Nixon was only a "conservative" in terms of his virulent anti communism.
In domestic policy he was decidedly liberal or to be fair, he left a great deal of his administrations domestic policies up to his staff and cabinet.

Well get the republicans to do that.
All we see is that republicans call women sluts and whores and tell them to keep their legs closed.
They do absolutely nothing to make sure men don't walk away from their own flesh and blood.
Your post and words are hollow with absolutely no action to support it.

The anti-abortion movement seems to be based more on a distain for women's sexuality than any concern with "life," particularly given all of the other issues that involve preserving "life" that the movement ignores or ridicules. Submitting sexually active women, but not men who are sexually active, to vile names and telling women to keep their legs closed shows a deep hostility toward women and how they choose to exercise dominion over their personal sexuality. This movement is aimed at controlling women, not preserving "life." Men (not all men!) certainly do walk away from their children and historically have.

40 years ago there were Republican and conservative jurists who believed in limited government, who sought to defend the rights and protected liberties of the American people, and who understood that those rights and protected liberties were immune from attack by the state, safeguarded from the fear, ignorance, stupidity, hate, and capricious whims of voters.Roe v.
