Why are junior members retiring from Congress?

Another interesting read. But, perhaps this is good. We are finding fewer people who plan on spending their entire lives in the halls of Congress. Perhaps people are beginning to take seriously the founders belief that service in House or Senate ought to be a brief interruption to one's regular career to keep freedom alive rather than subject the citizenry to becoming mere serfs to an elite ruling class.

Perhaps because they can earn much more dough as lobbyist once they do their time on the hill.
