Trump doesn't want to deport immigrants that are here legally. The work force won't be affected as there are many immigrants going through the legal process to come here for jobs. Unless they've committed crimes those deportees can get in the line for legal entry.
Many illegals were here legally to begin with…and they have been “ illegal “ by over staying visas, having a family here who are citizens NOW. Most are long standing laborers and many highly skilled. You going to separate families and replace them with new unskilled laborers ? We need legislation and CIR not blanket deportation. Btw, getting in line will separate family’s for years….
Instead, I’d be in favor of a sharp reduction in immigrants and by sponsorship only, and dealing with the ones here, methodically and completely to accommodate our needs. Then, as the ones that need to be deported are, we can adjust our quotas accordingly.
